It's for convenience i guess, but not compulsory. I bought mine from Tangs. Do note that it's better to bring it over during your gown selection too.. Having it on makes it easier for the gown coordinator to help you with the fitting..

What's the breakdown of your 5k? Listing it may help yourselves/us to know better where to reduce. The cost also depends on how many pax you have for the solemnisation.
