Sometimes in forums like this one or on bridal studio websites. The one I went was la belle couture's private sale in July. Otherwise you can also look out for some pretty good pre-owned gowns in this forum as well.

You can buy bridal gowns and evening gowns from bridal studio clearance sales too, if you don't mind past season seasons. That's how I settled my gowns. Costs about $150 to $400 each. We even got suits for htb at $20 each. All still in pretty ok condition. But of course, they aren't first hand...
