How much did you spend for ur ROM?

The solemnisation ceremony is very significant to me, perhaps even more so than the dinner. So I wanted it done nicely with people I loved. Lunch & venue - $3200 Wedding bands - $600 Dress - $280 Shoes - $100 Bouquet - $100 Photography - $400 Groom's attire - $300 Makeup and hair...

    A Budget ROM? Any advice?

Hiroki Although it is held at home, best to put in some effort and dress somewhat formal i.e. dress for you, shirt and tie for him.

Do you wear your engagement/proposal ring everyday?

I love my proposal ring too much to wear it everyday. Don't wanna get it scratched ! ;) So it's worn on special occassions only. My wedding ring however, was bought specially for everyday use i.e. not too expensive or fragile and can be knocked about LOL

Hi yuki It depends too what you're gonna use to produce the bubbles. You can use bottled soapy water that many guests can use but each produce few bubbles, or buy bubble guns or bubble machines - these will produce a lot more bubbles and fewer guns/machines are needed.

Hi yuki I think it's definitely worth it to engage a professional photographer for your dinner. Because after the whole event, all that's left are your memories and your photos. You could ask if the photographer has half-day rates (i.e. 4-5 hours), this will be cheaper. You can start from...

Re: Nu Bra When I was preparing for my ROM I passed by Guardian Pharmacy and saw U (heart) Me bra for about $50+. Just picked it up and used for ROM hehehe. It worked well. Not sure if the stickiness is still good now, 2 months after, will have to check.

Hello Lynn I think the stability of a tiered cake depends on many factors. You should talk to your confectioner on how the cake is constructed, the supports that will be used, how it's assembled and how stable it is. While your banquet manager means well and her advice is valuable, do...

Hi cookie's gal What about using a flower as a theme , say English roses. It'd go well with RH and dress up the church nicely. You can have it in 1 or 2 main colors, perhaps peach and cream, or pink and cream, then add wildflowers as fillers for a little more color (greens). RH can be...

Hi ying11 If your WG and EG has padding and the fit/look is good, you don't need the nu-bra. Kwa is covered up, a regular bra will do. Nu Bra is good to use as substitute for a strapless bra, especially when you wear a backless dress.

Hi cinderella It's totally up to you! Kwa looks traditional and if you're Cantonese it would be meaningful to wear that. Might be cheaper too, if you can borrow Kwa from your bridal shop. Cheong Sum also looks nice; or you can ask your bridal shop to make a cheong sum style tea dress.

Hello yuki Oh HIPV! Heheh now I understand the abbreviation. Mine is at Meritus Mandarin. I won't use bubbles because I worry there will be wet marks left on my face if they land on me :p But it gives a nice effect for march-in. I won't use white either for jie mei's attire. Most...

Hi yuki Wow crystal sounds nice. If you're doing a photo montage or video MTV, maybe can use crystal as a theme? You can also use glass (cheaper) and crystals in stuff like wedding favours, display crystal photo frame with couple photo @ reception area, colored glass placement plates and...

Hi cinderella Your husband doesn't look grumpy, but I think he looked tense at ROM ;] That's what happens to alot of grooms I see from pictures, they look nervous during the ceremony. But seems like he loosened up during the later photos. Where did you go for lunch after ROM?
