just my 2 cents worth dryer actually spoil your clothes easily and they consume lots of electricity... they tends to shrunk the clothes and not all clothing can be dry in the dryer... singapore has plenty of sun....

yes ikea board are horrible.. the warp in 1yrs time.. as for the pole, i m not sure how strong r they... there r a few type of pole system in singapore : ximula, alumix, sengkwong, closetdesign.. so far only closetdesign provides plywood... there prices is quite reasonable to me..

just a note of cautions to guys doing WIW. be very sure that the board/shelving they giving is not chipboard/ melanine. It needs to be of solid plywood to last... else will warp like those in IKEA
