@eileen: My sympathies. I, on the other hand, always knew that the dinner banquet was more for the family than for myself. With this little understanding, I've accepted and compromised on several issues (chose the date without too much fuss - no geomancer etc, just a simple look through an...
Hi b for blur,
Welcome! Another 3rd Dec BTB!
I did my circuit of 6-8 bridal studios, with appointments at both Silhouette and Le Grand, and they have lovely princessy tulle gowns. Sorry I can't help more as I really did not do much shopping around, but there's a few along Tanjong Pagar that...

Oh Eileen,
I understand how you feel - the "sian-ness". Just remember we're all here for you, and I do second what you say about how very similiar PG styles tend to be, as if they follow some kind of template, using some kind of checklist of sorts~
I'm looking for something more...
I'd like to second eoj's recommendation of jmbali.com - prompt response, thorough, detailed and reassuring - Been a lurker for a bit and took up the suggestion. So far, have absolutely no regrets!
Will update once I'm back! woo, I can't wait!
Actually, a lot of their earnings come from the per additional pic top-up, which is why they give you 6 different outfits to take photograph in (more outfits = more pictures you'd want), and then tell you you need 3 different poses for one photo album page for "storyline".
@Eileen: That's a fantastic song! You're right, a little bit unconventional, but who wants to be anyway? :p Tricky beat to walk in to, but I'd take a casual stroll to a rehearsed 'left-and-together-right-and-together' anytime
Grats about getting the kebaya done! I think it's awesome that you...
@Maxlene: Hi, and welcome! Had no idea that 3 Dec would be such a super hot date!
@eileen: I think some MUAs do use air brushing but it's not the norm, no. Check out ModelMayhem.com for freelancers. Also, there's a directory http://www.makeupartistdirectory.com/city/2293/Singapore/Singapore/...
Nothing better than Fancl's Mild Cleansing Oil - beats Shu Uemera's and DHC's cleansing oils imo. Takes away everything, including waterproof mascara in seconds, and does not feel oily. I still follow up with mild, cream facial cleanser though, only because I like the idea of double-cleansing.
@babydino: if the videographer already has it covered then don't worry, they probably paid for the annual licence to all the respective parties (Compass, RIPS, MBS). When I spoke to MooMedia, they assured me I could use any song since they have purchased the licence.
It's more hard-hitting...
It's yet another thing to stress about - I think everyone is trying to find royalty-free music by googling online, or to find independent artists that post their music online as free downloads for self-promotional purposes.
@babydino: If you're using the hotel's playlist, then yes, it's totally fine. But for a personalised playlist (some of the songs on the hotel's list are really plain awful and stuck in the 80s; some are very, very limited so you'd have to loop the tracks over and over to cover the entire...
How about also adding MUA to the list, so we know who's booked for when! haha
Bridal studios can accomodate for more than one bride per day so that's no worry, so the more pressing vendors are the venue, wedding coordinator (if any), MUA, PG & VG. Outsourced floral decoration may also be...
If it's really NATURAL that you're going for...
I'll suggest doing an exercise plan to reap the most benefits - remember your body needs to rest and for muscle to repair, so I tend to do relaxing/meditating yoga or walk the dog for "Rest Day"s. Do a mix-up of work-outs that you enjoy - like...
Haha! Such lively banter here - it's great that this thread is really picking up.
@Pink Swallow: I think it's pretty normal - husband just lets me choose (though he has his own criteria regarding gown - must be grand) and he pays haha! He's quite the doting sort so very flexible as long as I...
@Lee family & Pink swallow: I have the exact same question since I'll be living with my husband by then. Ooh, does it mean I cannot leave together with my husband from our house to his house for tea ceremony? I'd need to go back home to spend the night, and lug all that bridal crap with me...
