Hi CG, can you please send me the pictures of your dresses that you had made with Judy Khoo? Thanks, [email protected]

Hello ladies

I am making a full length cheongsum and bustier dress for my bridesmaid. Her charges are pretty ressonable, definitely cheaper than if you make it at a bridal studio.

However I had to buy the cloth/material which I purchased from Royal Fabrics at Arab street where they have beautiful sequinned, lace, chiffon , etc fabrics. I spent a total of 300-400 dollars on material alone for both myself and bridesmaid.

her workman ship price depends on your design. Yes, she can make a copy if you want.

Her charges at least in the range of 150-200 + SGD onwards . Again it is subject how intricate or complicated your design is.

AhJo77, I do not have pictures yet as the end product is not ready but I trust Judy's work. Give her a call if you are interested.

Hope this helps.

Don't go to iris and irdel they change the colours of things just cause they think it's nicer without consulting you, add things like a high slit without you asking and when you ask then to lower it say no, make buttons which you do not request for and when you asked then to change back to what you want they say you need to pay extra for it, my mum walked out of the shop cause the tailoring was so bad the mtm cheongsam did not fall nicely and was not to what was specified and the salesgirl kept insisting it looked better so they changed it?!?!?! And everything to change back must add money.. Not ethical at all

Elas Dress is very bad. I ordered a veil from her and it was late. Multiple phone calls and SMSes were left unanswered. When it finally arrived 1 month late, the edges were jagged and there was a huge, uneven seam right down the middle of the veil. She was supposed to get it replaced within 3 weeks, but 1.5months later, still no news. Once again, throughout this time, no response to SMSes or calls; she basically disappeared and I had to call her assistant. When I finally managed to get in touch (4 whole months after my initial order), she told me she'll refund the veil. That's not the point, because as a bride, you just want to have everything in place. All in all, my veil never got delivered.

Hi all, can give Hong a try, good quality work. Contact 96968131

Hong is unreliable, the first time he came down he did not bring his material book. the second meet up, he didnt bring his measuring tape and i had to lend him mine. He also failed to deliver the sample on time. the third time I saw him, the dress was not made accordingly to the measurement I gave him and he refused to proceed with the meet up becos we did not confirm his quotation. really disappointed. as he played me out on last meet up and he knew that he had to be there as my director will be there on that day and i got scolded becos of him.. I would like to highlight that the SAMPLE DRESS IS NOT FREE. it costs money $200.00!

First of all, all I can say is this is all one sided story! Let me clarify all these.

Hong is unreliable, the first time he came down he did not bring his material book.
First meet up with a client is always understanding the clients need, in this case is their corporate needs. There are thousands of different fabrications, we need to understanding what client require before we zero into recommending suitable fabrications.
the second meet up, he didnt bring his measuring tape and i had to lend him mine. He also failed to deliver the sample on time.
2nd meet up agenda is to shortlist suitable fabrication with them, no measurement is being mentioned, and this lady is petty enough to mention about borrowing a measuring tape to measure her staff.
the third time I saw him, the dress was not made accordingly to the measurement I gave him and he refused to proceed with the meet up becos we did not confirm his quotation. really disappointed. as he played me out on last meet up and he knew that he had to be there as my director will be there on that day and i got scolded becos of him..
No comfirmation was given to us and we are expected to rush out the samples in 2 days, we went to the extend of buying the fabrics and stitch up the dress and jacket even without receiving a black and white confirmation. I think you have to be fair to us to at least give us a written comfirmation before we proceed further instead of flaring out here. It is really nothing personal, we are also running a humble business.
I would like to highlight that the SAMPLE DRESS IS NOT FREE. it costs money $200.00!
The sampling charges was mentioned since day one that if you proceed with production is fully waived.

Hey steffdarling, I think I have found 2 seamstress and 1 shop who does bridesmaids dresses... however, you may need to look for the designs and they replicate it (except Love Potion who has their own rack of bridesmaids dresses)

Kim's Seamstress: do not have facebook page but saw this: http://www.theweddingscoop.com/entr...gant-wedding-at-the-fullerton-hotel-singapore
Mui's Sewing (Look for Liam): https://www.facebook.com/MuiSewing?ref=br_tf
Love Potion: https://www.facebook.com/lovepotion.sg

Love Potion has a shop in far east, quote me $80 for a skirt with materials...
Kim Seamstress: have made an appointment to take a look before deciding but her place is at tampines... quote me $70 with materials
Mui's Sewing: still deciding... quote me $80 with no materials, offered to bring me to people's park to buy materials...

I'm kinda torn between Kim & Mui

(I created a thread in another forum but I realised there's this thread and I think it should be here instead.)

Hello all brides to be or once a bride and now a wife, anyone customised their wedding dress? And customised I mean like design from scratch and not replica of another designer gown.

I'm planning to have a garden wedding that's simple, small and modern. It'll be a military style wedding, leaning towards the western style. My ideal kind of wedding dress is something that's fuss free and comfortable, no tube cause it'll keep dropping etc. I would like a spaghetti strap dress with a deep V neck and bare back. Cutting would be slim and flowy with a gradual increase in dress length to form a tail at the back. I haven't really thought of the material yet but I would like the dress to be simple but elegant.

I have uploaded some pictures to help with the visualisation. Anyone know how much would the whole dress cost? And any recommendation?
