I'm really stressed out as my fiancée's uncle passed away, and our wedding is in 1,5 months.
My fiancée is western European, and in the European culture there is no such thing that attending a funeral before a wedding would bring bad luck. So he and his whole family does not believe in that attending a funeral before our wedding might bring bad luck to our wedding. Also in European culture it is disrespectful not to attend a funeral of a relative.
I'm however Chinese, and my family has specifically told me not to do anything that will bring bad luck. I will not attend the funeral. But would it be a problem for our marriage if my fiancée would attend the funeral of his uncle? Also his whole family will also attend the funeral, would that also bring bad luck to our marriage if the same family members will attend our wedding?
Can we do anything to wear off / wash away the bad luck?
