if the skin is bad of course need thick make-up... it will look okay on photo but in person it will still be obvious. thats y brides should begin preparing early in advance, there are many products/treatments/medication that can help. Having good skin is really VERY impt imo

usually when a family has religion in their lives they behave better. its unlikely that such 'generosity' would happen outside church. imo =/
