what they mean by event and non event day? if we hold our wedding there, is it considered as an event day?

Im planning to ROM on 2015 and also wedding dinner on the same day. However, i do not have my own room and have been slping with my parent since young. My flat is coming on 2016 dec. But my dad said wait till flat reno finish then hold wedding dinner. But to me, i like to do it on the same day...
