Anyone took a cab before in LA? Can you share experience b'cos we're thinking of taking a cab to go to a shopping mall but heard that cabs don't stop for you. We don't want the hassle of driving just for a day of F&E.

elmove, Thanks. Really hope that we've time to visit Burbery Blue. I was afraid that with the early sunset and snow, we would be unable to go sightseeing on our own after the guided tours.

    Hokkaido with CTC in dec

We paid abt 5.5k with no extension. Have they confirmed your extension? I thought of extending but b'cos they can't confirm until 2 weeks before departure and strongly discouraged us due to peak period in Dec so we didn't extend .

    Melbourne anyone??

Danielle, The GOR is very 'windy/curvey' so I would not recommend you to drive there your own. But if you're an experienced driver with roads like that then go ahead. Enjoy. The scenery is awesome and must go down to Loch Ard Gorge to play in the water ;-p

Danielle, 1. you need to apply for visa http://www.australiavisas.com/ 2. Victoria Hotel is a good choice but not sure how much. 3. Approx Cab costs AUD45 and skybus cost AUD15 4. There're many car rental companies on the net e.g. Europcar, Thrifty

    Bangkok

Anyone here atayed at service apartment while you were there for holiday? Any recommendation? I'm planning on going Bangkok with my family for 3/4 days. Since there're 4 adults and 1 child, I feel that it's better to get a 2-bedroom service apartment with a kitchenette.
