Photographers Recommend Their Favourite Germany Pre-Wedding Shoot Destinations

The day you've been dreaming of has finally arrived — Singapore is opening up for travel again! If you've been missing those days of discovering new cultures and foods with your favourite travel buddy during this long year and a half of border restrictions, it's time to dust off those suitcases and satisfy that wanderlust.
As part of Singapore's efforts to safely reopen its borders, the government has announced the commencement of Vaccinated Travel Lanes for fully vaccinated Singaporeans and Permanent Residents to return to Singapore without needing to undergo quarantine, with effect from 8 September 2021. Germany is one of the countries under the Vaccinated Travel Lane programme, so couples can now look forward to destination pre-wedding shoots again!
Pre-Wedding Shoot Locations in Germany
With its alpine views, enchanting castles, stunning architecture, and quaint old towns, Germany has long been a favourite for pre-wedding photography. Major cities are the sites of majestic landmarks and rich culture. Munich, the capital of Bavaria, is home to stunning centuries-old architecture, historic churches, and beautiful museums. Dresden, the capital of the eastern German state of Saxony, houses the Versailles-inspired Zwinger palatial complex, one of the most famous baroque buildings in Germany with internationally renowned museums. Step into a fairytale in one of Germany's quaint old villages, with winding cobbled alleys, beautifully preserved half-timbered houses in pastel colours, and charming views of lakesides and green hills.
Germany Vaccinated Travel Lane
Currently, Singaporeans can already travel to Germany without serving a quarantine there — regardless of vaccination status. From 8 September 2021, Singapore will open the Vaccinated Travel Lane to Germany, which doesn't require quarantine when returning to Singapore for fully vaccinated travellers who have received the full regimen of WHO-approved vaccines at least 14 days prior to travel.
Instead, travellers must take four COVID-19 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests when returning to Singapore: first, a pre-departure test in Germany within 48 hours of your flight, second, an on-arrival test at Changi Airport, and post-arrival tests on days three and seven at designated clinics. You'll need to self-isolate until you receive a negative result from your on-arrival test, but you can do so at home or in a hotel.
Travellers on the Vaccinated Travel Lane from Germany can only fly back to Singapore on non-stop designated flights by Singapore Airlines and Lufthansa. You also won't be able to travel through Europe from Germany, as you'll need to have remained either in Singapore or Germany for 21 consecutive days before boarding the Vaccinated Travel Lane flight back to Singapore.
