I had my wedding dinner at the Tanglin Room on 31 March 2018. Started planning and preparing for my big day with Catering Sales Manager Alison in Dec 2017. Alison is very patient, professional and reassuring. She always ensures that she listens and understands our needs. My Husband and I were fortunate to have her journeying with us the past 4 months. She is certainly an asset to Regent Hotel.



The wedding turned out very well. Food by Summer Palace was delicious and exceptional. Banquet service was amazing and commendable. The ballroom and function room for solemnisation were nicely decorated. My Husband and I had a memorable wedding on 31 March.



Thank you for the wonderful service and exceeding our expectations Regent.

This review is long overdue!

We had our wedding dinner banquet in Regent on 5th August 2017 and would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all who were involved.



Firstly to Willius our coordinator and catering sales manager. We are so thankful to have Willius walk us through the whole planning process. He was ever so patient with our many requests, professional and prompt in his replies, always honest, never over-promising but sincere in trying to achieve what we desired.



To Laura who took over when Willius had to go on re-service. We were initially very apprehensive when we knew someone else was taking over the coordinating of the last few days coming up to the wedding and the execution of the actual day but Laura was a joy and a pleasure to work with. There was very good handover between Willius and Laura and Laura picked up exactly where Willius left off with no lapses in efficiency. Laura was also very flexible and patient with us and her warm nature made us feel very assured and taken care of.



To our banquet team, Ian, Arthur and Jack. The entire banquet ran so smoothly thanks to this amazing team. I remember my Husband and I being very nervous about our first dance but Ian was so encouraging and his soothing words and calm nature made us feel so supported. They were great at anticipating our needs and providing assistance at the right moments. Towards the end of the banquet, my Husband was getting abit tipsy and he was given something to drink to help with the tipsy-ness. The food from Summer palace was great, all our guests were raving about it, and the timing of the dishes were spot on.



Many thanks also to the AV team Idris and Chuah who coordinated the timing of the songs and videos so perfectly.



Valentino the valet was always very friendly when greeting us before entering the hotel and he was so good and welcoming with our 2 dogs.



Miwa at the front desk was super efficient at checking out bridal party and family in.



Last but not least, we are so grateful for Regent being accommodating in letting us walk down the aisle with our 2 dogs. It made our special day even more memorable and personal.

Held our wedding at the Regent on 12 May 2018 to the delight of all our guests. Posting this review into segments for ease of reading.



Venue choice (5/5 stars) :

- Dog / Pet Friendly

- Perfect Ballroom layout, no visual blockages, screens and AV available

- Lighting and sound fully complementary to your own set up

- Fog machine and bubble machine

- Fuss free event planning, staff were very experienced with operational changes



Food (5/5 stars):

- Food adjustments done perfectly based on our food tasting feedback

- Visual presentation of food was perfect

- Special mention to Birdnest with Crabmeat soup, Steamed seabass, Ee Fu noodles in XO sauce and Aloe-vera mango dessert as the most well liked dishes by our guests



Wine / Beer / Beverage (5/5 stars):

- Wine was excellent, multiple guests were amazed by the quality of wine served, both red and white. Even my French guests who have been in Singapore for awhile complimented on the wine which paired perfectly with the food. *do let me know the wine brand!*

- Tiger Beer served was from a fresh keg, fuss free no complaints.

- Standard selection of banquet soft drinks for non-alcohol consuming guests



Operations (4/5 stars):

- Special mention to Ziya for her continuous effort to answer our constant questions and queries

- Thanks to Azlan for his management of the banquet, allowing us to smoothly incorporate our requests and special items

- Credits to Fion for her dedication and quick management instruction flow-down

- Missed out on Canapes to be served, otherwise the wedding would have been perfect from start to finish.



Banquet Service (4/5 stars):

- Good service from staff from reception till event end

- Multiple guests feedback that service could be faster, especially for the event where free-flow alcohol was served, felt deliberate that some drinks were being served slowly

- Reception drink service only had 3-4 drinks per person per tray, multiple guests were requesting for drinks

- Possible improvement for part-time banquet staff, one was especially sarcastic to my guests who waited over 20 minutes for a glass of white wine. This can be improved especially for a free flow alcohol arrangement.



Bridal Suite, Room Service (5/5 stars):

- Room was spacious, with ample space for rest and set up

- View is average, due to a low floor allocation (7th floor) possibly due to pet requirements

- Having our pet with us was a big plus, since our dog did our first walk in with us!



All in all a very memorable wedding, made especially amazing with the dedication of the Sales, Operations and F&B teams.



Definitely recommended for wedding and formal events.

Our wedding dinner banquet at Regent Singapore on 03/03/18 was a success. . The banquet kitchen 1 Michelin Star Summer Palace upheld their excellent quality of food, with good array of choices and innovative menu. The choice of food was beyond our guest expectations and they were all in praises of the selection .



Their new wedding themes and wedding favors are thoughtful and set them apart from other banquet locations.



Special mention to Anba, Banquet Manager who promptly attended not only to our guest's needs but our needs. It was a pleasant surprise where he took care to pay attention to details before every march in.



Willius, catering sales manager is very professional and attentive. His responses to our needs and request were honest, forthcoming and prompt.



Also thanks to the rest of the hotel staff, who made our stay memorable.

We picked Regent as our wedding venue (Royal Pavilion Ballroom) for many great reasons and have absolutely no regrets! Huge props to Willius, our trusted coordinator and Regent's Catering Sales Manager, who made every step of the way from prep to actual day, enjoyable and stress-free. Willius is extremely reliable, professional and helpful and we are grateful for everything he's done for us.



We also want to commend the team at Basilico for putting together the most delectable 4-course Italian lunch menu. We had guests tell us it was one of the best wedding meals they've ever had!



Tip for couples who are considering Regent: Definitely check out the wedding shows held every few months. With the special deals, you can use those savings to enhance other elements of your wedding.

My Husband and I would like to say a huge ThankYou for all of the hospitality shown to us on our wedding day and indeed over the whole weekend.



From the initial booking to the food tasting and the wedding day itself, we could not have asked for better. The food and service was exceptional and was everything that we could wish for. Each and every member of the staff that we met during our wedding were so obliging and helpful. The atmosphere and ambience in the Ballroom and throughout the hotel was a credit to the staff. All of our guests were really impressed.



We would also love to specially compliment on Willius for his professional services rendered to us. He is definitely someone whom we can rely on for advice especially for Newly Wed couples like us. Willius is really patient, always listening and answering to all of our queries. Keep up the good work!



Also, Ian did help us a lot during the banquet dinner. He was very calm and constantly guiding us on what we should be expecting and what we should do, knowing that we would be lost and anxious. He was there to give us all the assurance that we needed. I believe the dinner would not be a smooth one if not for him. Thumbs up!



Overall, Regent Singapore is a perfect venue to hold your wedding particularly when you have the option to bring your beloved pets along to celebrate this joyous occasion with you~

Laura was our wedding coordinator. She did an amazing job! She is responsible and responsive. We loved the hotel, which despite having been around for some time, is well kept and grand. The staff and service leaves nothing to be desired, and we have no qualms recommending Regent / Laura. We had a memorable wedding dinner banquet at Regent Singapore. Willius, the Catering Sales Manager made all the difference to the success of this event. Right from the beginning, he was very forthcoming, professional and prompt with his dealings with us. He always had everything under control along the way, dropping us reminders and communicating with us about the details of the wedding.



The Tanglin Room itself is a nice cosy room, beautifully fitted out for an intimate wedding. For around 16 tables, it was just the right size I was looking for.



Kudos to the banquet team who were responsible for the execution of the event. Service throughout the night was courteous and efficient. They even went the extra mile by offering to convert the unused bottles of white wine to red wine when we were running low on wines. His small gestures shows how much the staff of Regent Singapore genuinely cares for the comfort and well being of their guests.



Thanks again to Willius and the banquet ops team for making our wedding a success! (I believe the guys from Banquet Ops were Ian and Isaac, however forgive me if I remembered wrongly as I was an overwhelmed groom that night!



Edit: Many of our guests have commented that this is by far the best wedding food one can get. Kudos to Summer Palace too!

Right from the start Edmund & I both knew we wanted to hold our wedding banquet at Regent because we loved the awesome food & great service - and Regent definitely didn't disappoint!



Firstly, Edmund and I would like to convey our heartfelt gratitude & appreciation to both our wedding co-ordinators Alison Ang and Ang Zi Ya for making our entire wedding preparation journey such a pleasant and smooth one. Alison & Zi Ya have been so prompt with their responses, patient with all our queries and accommodating & obliging to all our requests and showed lots of initiative throughout our dealings with them. Thanks especially to Alison for helping us even when we messed up the seating arrangement before the reception by helping us re-print the guest list with the correct seating arrangement - you saved us & we're deeply appreciative! We really couldn't have asked for a better co-ordinator!



A big THANK YOU also goes out to our banquet managers Ali and Arthur for being so helpful, detailed, re-assuring & patient with the both of us on the night of our wedding telling us what to do and what to expect next before the start of the banquet and march-ins. At the end of the dinner, they took the time to gather our feedback & patiently went through the breakdown of the bill with us.



Our guests had a wonderful time at the dinner. The decor was classy & elegant and our guests especially loved the food (abalone soup & Bi Feng Tang chicken were both such great hits) & also many commented that the red wine was very good.



We want to also specially thank Chef Chong Miou Seng whom Edmund & I had the privilege of meeting during one of our visits to the Tea Lounge for their weekend high tea buffet (our favourite high tea in Singapore!). Chef Chong is always ready to greet us with a smile every time we see him and on one occasion when we complimented him on his seafood porridge he offered to deliver a bowl up to our room on the night of our wedding banquet - which he eventually did! On the night of our wedding we were pleasantly surprised to see not 1 but 2 bowls of seafood porridge delivered to our room. Perfect end to a wonderful night, it really made our day! :)



It is the little thoughtful things like these that the Regent family does that never fails to surprise & impress us. Getting married at the Regent proved to be one of our best decisions & would like to thanks the entire team at Regent for making our wedding such a memorable one for us and our family & friends!

Our families and friends had a good time on our wedding night! Truly a good hotel with high standards. Willius, my hotel coordinator, clearly has been a problem solver for my Husband and I. Despite having so many last minute requests, they were all handled with care. Chantal who has been taking very good care of us during the banquet, also made the night much enjoyable and less worrisome for me. The food was so good that all my guests stayed throughout the dinner till the last dish. I love the service standards and thanks Wilius for accommodating our dogs for the wedding march in. I received nothing but compliments for our wedding night and thank you Regent for making the night so epic for us!

Holding the banquet dinner at Regent Singapore was the best decision we made for our wedding. The immaculate decor and sumptuous food received much praise from all our guests. Our Catering Sales manager was Mr Willius Koh. He was very patient throughout the negotiation process and guided us all the way. I would also like to specially commend Mr Mohamad Azlan, Senior Banquet Captain, and his team for the exceptional service throughout the actual night. We had our Wedding Lunch held at Regent Hotel Tanglin Room on 24th Of December 2017

It was definitely very excited and joyful able to find a hotel in SINGAPORE which is very PET FRIENDLY and surprisingly allowing us to "MARCH IN' with my Dog (Ketchup) during our wedding banquet.

All my guests was very very impressed and surprised upon seeing our (Ketchup) March In which is a westernize concept.

Our Wedding Coordinator Valerie was very patient and helpful even though she had taken over from her colleague half way, the handover was smooth and she was very promptly in replying my funny question. lol

Concierge staff was very helpful and was very initiative upon seeing us shifting all the big items, heavy gowns and luggages...

Is easily access and minimal jam in the car park, lobby area which is very important during festive season.

Family & friends have feedback that food was good and during the banquet crews service was excellent with no hiccup at all.

Dessert bar and Crackling pork display was very nice and of cos taste nice!

The Banquet Manager is always on standby to direct us and clearly indicate what need to be done.

Regent hotel a PET FRIENDLY HOTEL is very well kept in cleanness and had maintain it unique class.

I would certainly recommended couple to consider Regent Hotel to host their Wedding here

It was a amazing experiencing allowing our fur baby to be able to take part in human wedding too.

We held our wedding on 7 May at the Royal Pavilion Ballroom. Our catering sales manager Mr Willius Koh, was such a delight to work with. He is detailed, responsive, every polite, super meticulous and would do his best to ensure our requests and needs are met. He also managed to calm us down when we're freaking out! On our wedding day, the banquet manager Arun and his team are also very extremely efficient and delivered excellent service. All the staff we met are also polite and professional. My husband and I had a great experience with Regent Singapore and would not hesitate to recommend to our friends! Thumbs up!

We just had our wedding on 3 Jun at Royal Pavillion Ballroom . Willius Koh was our catering sales manager, simply awesome to have worked with him. Since day 1 in engaging Regent Hotel to be our banquet venue , he has been prompt with replies , ready to accommodate changes as much as he can and was mostly meticulous on details of the wedding!



Food quality was not compromised and taste as good as on our food tasting, my guests enjoyed themselves. Banquet arrangement was also well coordinated by banquet manager and her crew, ensuring as and when we need to leave to prepare for 2nd march in ,guiding us on the steps for march in, toasting .

The service was excellent (though we feel that the room check-in process could have been more welcoming), fantastic ambience and the food was great ! We want to thank Willius (catering sales manager) for journeying with us since last October. His friendliness and great service were probably one of the first few reasons why we selected Regent!

We will like to take the opportunity to thank and commend Willius & team for making our wedding luncheon on 14 May 2017 a spectacular and unforgettable one.



Willius Koh, our sales catering coordinator was absolutely a pleasure to work with. He was extremely professional, ever so accommodating to our queries, meet up requests and changes right up to even after the wedding itself. Issues and concerns highlighted to him were also resolved in no time without any fuss and we truly appreciate the prompt response.



The little details left such an impression and reaffirmed our choice for choosing Regent Singapore as our wedding venue. For example; i) Ian, the Banquet Manager getting us water before the march-in to calm our nerves, getting me some lemon water when he knew I was getting tipsy. ii) Willius dropping by before the March-in (despite having 2 other weddings at the same time) to reassure us / check on us to ensure everything is A-OK. iii) Banquet Manager on shift the night before who ensured that the solemnization room décor instructions were followed through.



Another major plus point was the banquet food was on point, all our guests totally enjoyed the food (catered by Summer Palace)! Thank you, Team for making our wedding an unforgettable one, Regent Singapore will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Absolutely stellar - We held our wedding banquet on 3 December 2016 and received top notch support from our wedding coordinator cum catering sales manager Ziya Ang, and her banquet team led by Francis. Amidst the crazy afternoon, we managed to garner positive feedback on the food/menu, so that deserves a kudos as well. We want to emphasize that Ziya has gone out of her way to help us, the services and help she has rendered made our wedding celebration a tremendous success! To the Regent Singapore reception staff, Sylvia and Herlina, thanks for your patience and accommodating to our less than normal payment requests. Room service, concierge and housekeeping team, you have made our stay extremely memorable. All in all, Regent Singapore, you have exceeded our expectations and set a new benchmark for the level of hospitality for hotels around the world for us.

We held our wedding at tanglin room on 10 Dec 2016. I only can say the service is top quality. Our catering sales manager Ziya was very helpful from our first meet up, I remember I have to amend my table list again and again even till the last moment but she nice enough to liaise with the banquet team on the changes. Chantal was our banquet in charge for that day. As I was quite late for my briefing, they ensure everything proceed smoothly and explain in details on our event tat day.



Our 2 nights stay there was very fruitful and enjoyable as well. Staffs are very friendly and always helpful to us. Definitely will recommend to couple who want a nice memorable wedding or to family who want a weekend staycation.

Yessss... im lovin it! Had our wedding banquet at the grand ballroom recently last month. Had a wonderful experience & time with our wedding coordinator Ziya. The whole experience from the day we signed our contract, to the planning, pre-actual run & actual banquet was smooth, enjoyable & unforgetable. The food was good, beer fantastic & ambience magical - the guests were so happy that they did'nt want to leave after the banquet! Parents & in-laws also commended on the flawless execution, beautiful ballroom & hotel stay breakfast buffet.



Guest happy + Parents happy = Couple happy

The hearsay is true - Regent hotel really does provide the best service in town. I had my wedding banquet at Regent and they were very attentive to my very need. They went to great pains to ensure that my wedding day was well planned and went the extra mile to make us feel special on our, well, special day. Our guests all loved the food and any form of recovery is quick and executed fuss free.

Really love the greenery at Regent hotel, and the overall atmosphere of the place. Ziya, the Wedding sales personnel, was great too. The Regent team, from banquet, AV, front desk, F&B, room service to housekeeping have been really professional and they provided great service to us and our guests. Highly recommend Regent Hotel to anyone.

We just had our wedding on 3 Jun at Royal Pavillion Ballroom . Willius Koh was our catering sales manager, simply awesome to have worked with him. Since day 1 in engaging Regent Hotel to be our banquet venue , he has been prompt with replies , ready to accommodate changes as much as he can and was mostly meticulous on details of the wedding!

Food quality was not compromised and taste as good as on our food tasting, my guests enjoyed themselves. Banquet arrangement was also well coordinated by banquet manager and her crew, ensuring as and when we need to leave to prepare for 2nd march in ,guiding us on the steps for march in, toasting .

Thankyou so much and making our wedding a memorable experience with Regent!

We will like to take the opportunity to thank and commend Willius & team for making our wedding luncheon on 14 May 2017 a spectacular and unforgettable one.

Willius Koh, our sales catering coordinator was absolutely a pleasure to work with. He was extremely professional, ever so accommodating to our queries, meet up requests and changes right up to even after the wedding itself. Issues and concerns highlighted to him were also resolved in no time without any fuss and we truly appreciate the prompt response.

The little details left such an impression and reaffirmed our choice for choosing Regent Singapore as our wedding venue. For example; i) Ian, the Banquet Manager getting us water before the march-in to calm our nerves, getting me some lemon water when he knew I was getting tipsy. ii) Willius dropping by before the March-in (despite having 2 other weddings at the same time) to reassure us / check on us to ensure everything is A-OK. iii) Banquet Manager on shift the night before who ensured that the solemnization room décor instructions were followed through.

Another major plus point was the banquet food was on point, all our guests totally enjoyed the food (catered by Summer Palace)! Thank you, Team for making our wedding an unforgettable one, Regent Singapore will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Awesome & Memorable Experience at Regent Singapore

We writing to commend Ziya, Stella, Frank Ryan Castante, Cha Cha, Banquet Captain and his whole team for their excellent service and hospitality at our wedding lunch yesterday. You all are a valuable asset to Regent Singapore.

The proof of excellence include both the quality of food as well as the attentive and professionalism exhibited by the crew on duty. The staff were prompt in serving the dishes and meals were warm when served. They were also prompt in replacing the dirty plates with new ones. On top of that, they proactively ensured that beverages were promptly replenish. My guest also feedback that they enjoyed the quality of food and service.

Ziya (Main Coordinator) for her attentiveness, patience, sweet smile, and overall coordination with various departments, making our big day a smooth, successful & memorable experience.

Frank, Banquet Captain also demonstrated his attention to details as he noticed that my wife was unable to consume liquor and asked if he could get her some other beverages during the toasting ceremony, constantly helping her lift the heavy gown train when she was moving around. He was also constantly briefing my emcee on the progress of the event. In addition, he progressively brief me and my wife on the proceedings so that we do not need to remember what comes next.

ChaCha, attentive & alert, also constantly assisting her lift the heavy gown train when she was moving around, making sure our bridal table food are always warm, keeping it in the warmer when we are away toasting or engaging with guest.

Stella (Front Desk), for her attentiveness, politeness, warm smile, appreciate her kind gesture to waive off the extra bed charges due to 2 of my wife aunt staying over with her the night before our big day. Even walked us to our suite & ensuring if we need anything else to make our stay a comfortable one.

Last but not least, I want to thank Regent Hotel management for an enjoyable and excellent customer experience. I will definitely recommend my friends to your hotel if they are considering their wedding plans.
