Audrey and Fadzillah exchanged their vows in a beautiful wedding at Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa filled with love and laughter, with the sea and the sky as witness along with their closest family and friends.<\/i><\/p>

A<\/b>udrey Koo, Admin Executive, and Fadzillah Amri, Diagnostic Radiographer, went on cafe-hopping dates to the furthest corners of Singapore, and continued their cafe adventures around the world when Audrey furthered her studies in London. The couple exchanged their vows against the sky and sea at Spice Point in Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa<\/a> on 8 August 2021, and celebrated with their nearest and dearest in an intimate wedding filled with love and laughter.<\/p>

<\/ins><\/div>\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"

Tell us a little bit about your story, such as how the two of you met.<\/b><\/b><\/p>

Audrey: <\/i>Our story began with our common interest of visiting cafes. We would meet every few days to cafe-hop and just enjoy each moment. Before we knew it, we were cafe hopping all over the world. We maintained a long-distance relationship when I went to London for my studies. He would visit me three to four times a year for more cafe-hopping adventures and holidays, and we would also travel to other cities in Europe. In total, we have visited 14 countries together.<\/p>

Fadz<\/i>: I was merely a tool of transportation as Audrey loved to go to cafes that are totally inaccessible. The more ulu<\/i>, the better right? She would give clever reasons\/excuses as to why some cafes are a must to visit; die-die must try. I just tagged along and before long it became our thing. When she was studying in London, I had to make multiple trips there a year as she needed my help. Once, I flew there to help her with her quarterly apartment-cleaning for inspection. On another occasion, I flew there to help her with relocation, from the outskirts of London to somewhere more central. During my visits, Audrey would plan short trips to other European cities as I could help her navigate and also carry her luggage. Over the years of shuttling between London and Singapore, I realised that I feel empty when Audrey is not with me. I learnt that I can\u2019t live without her.<\/p>\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"

What do you love most about your partner? <\/b><\/b><\/p>

Audrey:<\/i> He puts me first. He is super patient, can take my nonsense, and he loves me very much. He knows how to cheer me up after a long day at work. Most importantly, he gives in to me.<\/p>

Fadzillah:<\/i> Audrey has an odd sense of humour that few people can appreciate. She would break into laughter before she reaches the punchlines of her jokes. She has one too many awkward\/clumsy moments that she believes nobody else notices. She has a very beautiful smile. What I love most is that she cares for me a lot but tries very hard to hide it. <\/p>\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"

What was the proposal like?<\/b><\/b><\/p>

Audrey:<\/i> I had always wanted an intimate proposal and Fadz nailed it. He proposed to me in Iceland, halfway on our hour-long walk to the Solheimasandur plane wreck. It was so romantic as we were all alone, walking that iconic 4km stretch of black sand.<\/p>

Fadzillah:<\/i> It was a relatively stressful time. Despite knowing she wanted a ring from Tiffany & Co., I had no idea what type of ring she liked, what her ring size was, and so on. I finally decided to get her the classic engagement ring. By sheer luck, the size was spot on. As Audrey is a reserved person and dislikes public attention, I had to plan for the proposal to be as private as possible, yet being outdoors. <\/p>\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\" \"\"\"\"

Did COVID-19 affect your wedding plans?<\/b><\/b><\/p>

Audrey:<\/i> Definitely yes. I wanted a big grand wedding but had to settle for an intimate reception instead. It was actually a blessing in disguise as we only had to invite our nearest and dearest. The COVID-19 measures underwent a series of changes and we had to react and adapt accordingly. Thankfully, our wedding coordinator was on the ball and gave us updates whenever the measures were changed. SingaporeBrides helped us tremendously in our planning too. <\/p>

Fadzillah:<\/i> Yes it did, but for me, the situation worked in my favour, as I wanted the wedding to be an intimate affair. I started to notice a pattern regarding the maximum number of guests allowed at the different \u201cphases\u201d. The number of guests allowed toggled between 250, 100, or 50 for wedding solemnisation, with the strictest being no wedding receptions (but allowed 50 guests for solemnisation). It was therefore clear to me that the safe option was 50 pax regardless of the \u201cphases\u201d. If the measures were less strict, we could successfully host the solemnisation and the wedding reception, however if measures were strict, we could simply drop the wedding reception without having to change the guest list. <\/p>

But despite all the advance planning, COVID-19 had to throw us another wrench yet again. Three weeks before the wedding, it was announced that guests had to undergo Pre-Event Testing regardless. That caused some of our guests to pull out and we had to reshuffle yet again. Overall, COVID-19 had a huge positive impact for me as I did not need to be extra persuasive with Audrey when it came to finalising the number of guests. <\/p>\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"

What was your wedding theme and how did you create it? <\/b><\/b><\/p>

Audrey:<\/i> We had three choices of themes from Amperian and Fadz chose Earthy Woodland. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it turned out cause I couldn\u2019t decide between the usual burgundy or pink florals. Our palette consisted of orange, ivory, and brown. We had a second stylist, Khoocoon, engaged to handle our reception decor. We also had HellofromFlour for our bouquet. We left the styling to them and reminded them to be in sync with our theme, and they all got it right!<\/p>

What was your wedding day like? <\/b><\/b><\/p>

Audrey:<\/i> Everyone who has been married told us, \u201cThe day will pass by very quickly,\u201d and true enough, in the blink of an eye, the wedding ended. Due to COVID-19, we couldn\u2019t hold the usual gate crash activities, lucky for the husband! Instead, we had a private exchange of letters. To keep our guests entertained, we had a Kahoot quiz in place. The prizes were really quite attractive, if I may say so. Also, we managed to eat most of our lunch!! <\/p>

Fadzillah:<\/i> It was what I envisioned it to be: solemnisation in a garden, small-sized wedding reception, and all eyes on the bride. We had a lot of things to do in a relatively short period of time. Luckily, the bridesmaids and groomsmen did an awesome job ensuring that the event was well managed, so we didn\u2019t have to fret and could enjoy ourselves.<\/p> \"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"

What was the most memorable moment of your wedding?<\/b><\/b><\/p>

Audrey:<\/i> Forgetting to bring my NRIC! Luckily, the JP was flexible and accepted the digital NRIC on SingPass App. The funny thing is, I kept reminding my brother to bring his NRIC as he was one of the witnesses for the solemnisation. Another moment was when my sister went to the wrong Sofitel, but thankfully she made it to the correct one on time. In all seriousness, it was when my brother was walking down the aisle with me to give me away to Fadz.<\/p>

Fadzillah:<\/i> The most memorable moment for me was watching Audrey walk down the aisle. At that moment, all else didn\u2019t matter; not even the part that she forgot her NRIC. I was so moved when she read her vows. Part of me was like \u201cwow\u201d and another part was doubtful, saying, \u201cSure boh<\/i>?\u201d hahaha.<\/p>
