You could say we actually met <i>via<\/i> university instead of in university. <\/p><p>During that time, I was part of our university\u2019s wine society interest group and had a special sake tasting event planned which was open for registration. Sheldon invited a couple of his friends to come along and show some support. It was quite funny how they turned out to be the only graduated seniors at the event. We started going out soon after the event.<\/p><p><b><b>What made you fall in love with your partner?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Sheldon: <\/i>Geraldine is very accepting of who I am, as well as our individual flaws and differences. She also used to be really afraid of dogs but she loved my dog Muffin to bits very shortly after meeting her. It was probably love at first sight for the both of them. <\/p><p><i>Geraldine: <\/i>We\u2019ve been together for over six years now and Sheldon has been my parachute through it all. He\u2019s always capable of offering up solutions to all my problems or worries, keeping me stress-free. However, COVID-19 happened and with all the restrictions in place, we didn\u2019t want to have to exclude any of our family or friends from celebrating with us, or expose the elderly to any potential risk or inconvenience. We loved the elegant and classy ambience of the restaurant from the moment we stepped out of the elevator on the top floor and were greeted by the amazing view overlooking Marina Bay Sands and Singapore Flyer.<\/p><p><i>Geraldine: <\/i>I took advantage of the fact that this was not our actual wedding to wear a tailored navy satin cheongsam from Mamaandmisse to match Sheldon\u2019s tailored navy suit from Lai En tailors instead of a traditional white wedding gown. For fear of our outfits looking too dark, the lining of my cheongsam was intentionally chosen to be in a bright shade of red, accompanied with white buttons with red floral patterns. In terms of makeup and hairstyling, I trusted Tiffany from TiffiningBeauty to create a glamorous Hollywood look with red lips. To top it all off, the blooms on my hand bouquet are also red African roses and eucalyptus (our favorite scent!).<\/p><p>The colour theme we went for was navy blue, red, and white, which we thought really complemented the ambience of VUE. We also went with our bubbly photographer, Yuan Xiu from notpixelated as we liked the darker mood of her photography style and edits.<\/p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/vue-oue-bayfront-wedding-52.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/vue-oue-bayfront-wedding-53.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/vue-oue-bayfront-wedding-54.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/vue-oue-bayfront-wedding-56.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/vue-oue-bayfront-wedding-57.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/vue-oue-bayfront-wedding-58.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><p><b><b>What was the most memorable moment of your solemnisation?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Sheldon: <\/i>Our fingers were probably trembling with nerves that day; we struggled a little as we were putting on our wedding bands for each other at that very crucial moment. Everyone broke out in laughter in the background so I guess we lightened the mood in the room.<\/p><p><i>Geraldine: <\/i>The most memorable moment for me was reading out loud the vows I wrote just the night before. As I was writing my vows the night before, I realised that our solemnisation day was actually the 6th year, 6th month and 6th day since we our first date. Sheldon didn\u2019t know this of course, and I was looking forward to his reaction when he heard me read my vows. He was so surprised!
