We had settled most things and were left with just the decor for Bali when the lockdown happened. That\u2019s when we knew our Bali wedding wasn\u2019t going to happen and we had to postpone it. We\u2019re still keeping our fingers crossed that we\u2019ll be able to have the wedding of our dreams when international travelling is allowed again. <\/p><p>When the circuit breaker was lifted, we decided that instead of waiting indefinitely, we would register our marriage first and have a small minimony. We were also worried that a second wave would hit after the circuit breaker was lifted, and so planned this solemnisation in just three weeks! I also wanted to do up my own backdrop so I used the phrase \u201cI love you to the moon and back\u201d and DIY\u2019ed my own runner to tie in with the floral arrangement. It was through further discussion with my floral stylist, FellowFolks, that they suggested a blue and white chinoiserie colour palette for the flowers to tie in with my cheongsam and everything fell into place after. It was a cosy and intimate dinner with some (not all!) of our closest friends and family, and the ambience at Open Farm Community definitely made everything more magical. I remember I was pretty nervous on the way to the ceremony, but Vanessa from Open Farm very kindly gave me a vodka shot and I was fine after!<\/p><p>It was also pretty unusual as we had to cater for \u201conline guests\u201d. We set up a private Instagram account for our wedding and streamed the ceremony live! Things got serious and solemn and I thought, \u201cMan, this is really happening!!!\u201d The planning and all was always fun but the idea of getting married felt so surreal at the time. I was so emotionally overwhelmed and tried very hard not to burst into tears (and I succeeded so yay)!<\/p><p><i>Jarred:<\/i> I enjoyed the dinner the most as it was so unexpectedly cosy. I\u2019d always imagined that we wouldn\u2019t have time to entertain our guests but the limit on the number of guests turned out to work in our favour.
