With the bride a creative florist, you know the shoot will feature some beautiful florals! While I\u2019m a planner, he prefers to be spontaneous and it has also taught me to be less uptight about how things pan out in life. He likes my rational mind and how I weigh all my options before taking action. I think we balance each other out!<\/p><p><b><b>What was the proposal like?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Cheryl: <\/i>He handmade a beautiful acrylic ring box fixed with transparent panels which would light up when opened to reveal the sparkling ring! Instead of playing a childhood montage and morning highlights, we engaged a friend to serenade the crowd with Disney songs and various hits from the 2000s. We also did away with the morning gatecrash and replaced it with a mini quiz so that we would have more time for photo-taking with the wedding entourage. <\/p><p><b><b>What\u2019s one piece of marriage advice you\u2019d give to couples?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Cheryl: <\/i>We have been married for close to four years now. The husband says, \u201cHappy wife, happy life!\u201d I cannot disagree with that for sure! On a serious note, I feel that it is important for us to give each other personal space even when we are living together. We spend time apart to relax and pursue our individual interests, and time together to connect and talk about our day. Since it was our third wedding anniversary last year, I thought we should do an anniversary shoot so that I could finally have the stylistic freedom to do up the flowers that I have always envisioned. <\/p><p>Pastels and dusty shades have always been my favourite colour scheme and I dreamt up a concoction of blush pink, nude beige, dusty mauve, and sky blue to venture away from the traditional rustic style with lots of greens. The wispy blue asparagus fern added a dreamy touch, but not without consequences! The bits of blue got caught on everything and left its traces everywhere! <\/p><p><b><b>As someone in the wedding industry, do you have any advice for brides who are planning their weddings during the present uncertainties?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Cheryl: <\/i>Being a former bride, I definitely understand the anxiety about planning everything ahead, especially for an event that is once in a lifetime.
