Rather than planning an over-the-top wedding, Chew Yan and Jing Jie opted for a simple and classic wedding on 11 May 2013 that complemented and allowed the opulent Forlino interior to shine. Take a peek at their wedding celebration and watch how this couple turn \u201csimple\u201d and \u201cclassic\u201d into an afternoon of wonder.<\/p><div class=\"banner\"><script type=\"text\/javascript\">OA_show(5);<\/script><\/div><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" loading=\"lazy\"  class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6806\" alt=\"AForlinoWeddingExperience1\" src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/AForlinoWeddingExperience1-e1373558187130.jpg\"  \/><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" loading=\"lazy\"  class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6807\" alt=\"AForlinoWeddingExperience2\" src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/AForlinoWeddingExperience2-e1373558212872.jpg\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" loading=\"lazy\"  class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6809\" alt=\"AForlinoWeddingExperience4\" src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/AForlinoWeddingExperience4-e1373558374442.jpg\"  \/><p><b><b>How did the two of you meet?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Chew Yan:<\/i> We met during our Junior College days but only started dating after our graduation when I was in University while Jing Jie was in the National Service.<\/p><p><i>Jing Jie:<\/i> Both of us were in the same class back in Junior College and all we remembered was me trying to copy her work during our Chemistry laboratory lessons and making prank calls to her.<\/p><p><b><b>What was the proposal like?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Jing Jie: <\/i>I booked a duplex room in <a href=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/hotels\/goodwood-park\/\" target=\"_blank\">Goodwood Park Hotel<\/a> and told Chew Yan that it was a lucky draw prize so she didn\u2019t suspect anything. The day before, I liaised with Goodwood Park Hotel\u2019s concierge to arrange for flower petals, tea lights, flowers and various decorations. On the day of the proposal, I led her into the room, knelt in front of her and proposed.<\/p><p><i>Chew Yan:<\/i> We didn\u2019t want to publicise our proposal \u2013 no elaborate planning, no extreme preparations \u2013 just a heartfelt proposal. Walk us through your wedding planning.<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Jing Jie:<\/i> We didn\u2019t exactly have a theme for our lunch reception. We just wanted to use our favourite flowers and colours, and keep the lunch reception clean, simple and natural, so we used white tulips with plenty of green and purple accents. We avoided bright coloured flowers to give our lunch reception a classic and private feel. Lorenzo, from Forlino, really understood what we were looking for and most importantly, he was willing to listen to what we wanted and did his best to arrange the menu to our liking.<\/p><p><i>Chew Yan:<\/i> We decided on Forlino because they had great food, a beautiful location and excellent service. And they did not disappoint us on our actual day. All of them had plenty of fun during the day, and that\u2019s all we really wanted for our big day \u2013 for our guests to enjoy themselves.<\/p><p><b><b>Were there any particular moments that were especially special to you?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Jing Jie: <\/i>For me, our solemnisation was the most important moment of the day.
