You just want to walk down the aisle in a soft, flowy dress cut to your figure and pamper your guests with excellent, reputable service and a memorable banquet.<\/i><\/p><p><b class=\"special\">O<\/b>n 9th March 2013, Riverview Hotel and Graceful Image hosted Romance by the River, a wedding showcase of the hotel\u2019s five brand new wedding themes, as well as veteran bridal designer Judy Teo\u2019s latest collection of very wearable wedding gown designs.<\/p><div class=\"banner\"><script type=\"text\/javascript\">OA_show(5);<\/script><\/div><p>After a tour of the many wedding vendors who were at the show, guests were invited into the Lily Ballroom for a look at the new wedding themes and a sampling at the buffet table of delectable finger foods and desserts. Find out more about Riverview Hotel\u2019s wedding themes and packages <a href=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/hotels\/river_view\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  alt=\"Romancing by the River\" src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Graceful-Image-1-e1366611919683.jpg\" \/><p>Graceful Image\u2019s runway show began with a strapless number. The gown featured a pleated bustier with a trumpet-style rosette skirt, complete with the a tulle veil with floral lace, a romantic and flattering combination, and also a fresh departure from designer Judy Teo\u2019s signature Princess-cut dresses. The same body-skimming cut can be seen throughout the show but in various forms, such as a silk taffeta sheath gown with lace sleeves and a sexy, open diamond back.<\/p><p>Another pleasing cut from Graceful Image\u2019s new collection is the A-line dress, which is most flattering on the Asian, pear-shaped body, because it features a fitted bodice and a skirt that flows gradually to the floor, hiding a slightly larger lower body. Judy cleverly embellished the A-line gowns with crystal straps, toga-style necklines, coloured sashes and sheer illusion backs to bring attention to the upper body.<\/p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  alt=\"Romancing by the River\" src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Graceful-Image-2.jpg\" \/><p>Graceful Image\u2019s signature Princess gowns are fuller with a more contemporary twist in this latest collection. Judy used more layers of tulle to create that fuller skirt and added more sparkle with creative use of fabric and crystals for a modern take on the conventional gown. While you can still see lace in this collection, you will usually find it as an underlay on the skirt, a highlight on the sleeve, or on the trimming of the veil. The subtle use of lace adds a feminine quality to the gowns, which I\u2019m sure most brides will appreciate.<\/p><p>A burst of colours came with the evening gowns segment of the runway show. The colour palette that Judy chose was a surprise; it was not the usual dark jewelled tones often seen on evening wear. Instead, the gowns were a shade or two bolder than the Spring pastel colours, as you can see in the video below. The baby pink, blue, yellow and lilac took on more womanly forms of coral, cornflower, canary and lavender so the look is still youthful and fun.<\/p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  alt=\"Romancing by the River\" src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Graceful-Image-4-e1366612105906.jpg\" \/><p>The evening gowns are slightly more adventurous on cut, design and fabric; the Princess ballgowns are tufted to create more texture for a stunning entrance for the bride\u2019s second march-in. The goddess gown had more bling-factor with added crystals and rosette straps for a more dressy look, while bodices were sexier with deeper Vs and fish-bone corsets.<\/p><p>This latest collection from Graceful Image can be worn straight off the runway without much toning down for the wedding day.
