Don\u2019t! Our couple, Stephanie, 34, Associate Director and Roger, 35, Event and Project Director, did just that! For a wedding that was different and enjoyable for both themselves and their fun-spirited guests, they decided on a carnival-themed celebration for their big day. Needless to say, everyone had a bouncing good time on 11 August 2012. So, if you\u2019re planning a fun-filled wedding celebration that\u2019s out of the ordinary, let Stephanie and Roger\u2019s big day be an inspiration for yours.<\/p><div class=\"banner\"><script type=\"text\/javascript\">OA_show(5);<\/script><\/div><p><b><b>How did the two of you meet?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Roger<\/i>: A mutual friend, Kei, introduced us over drinks, but it was only six months later that we started dating because Stephanie did not reply my Facebook messages until much later.<\/p><p><i>Stephanie<\/i>: As the saying goes, better late than never, right? But when we finally went out on a date, we enjoyed ourselves so much that one date led to another and the rest, as they say, is history.<\/p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  alt=\"MyCarnivalWedding1\" src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/MyCarnivalWedding1-e1361516657554.jpg\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  alt=\"MyCarnivalWedding2\" src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/MyCarnivalWedding2-e1361516683622.jpg\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  alt=\"MyCarnivalWedding3\" src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/MyCarnivalWedding3-e1361516691830.jpg\" \/><p><b><b>What was the proposal like?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Roger<\/i>: I remember it was -14 degrees Celsius when I went down on my knee in Harbin, China.<\/p><p><i>Stephanie<\/i>: I was completely taken aback! We were at the Harbin Ice and Snow World when a friend suggested we take a photo together. So whilst I was happily posing for the camera, Roger got down on his knee and proposed! Both of us were freezing and the only answer to that question was, without a doubt, a \u201cYes\u201d!<\/p><p><b><b>We heard there was a carnival at your wedding! Tell us more about it.<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Stephanie<\/i>: Yes, we did have one! We decided on a having a carnival-themed celebration for the night portion of our wedding to cater to our friends\u2019 fun-loving personalities. There was plenty of entertainment, food and drinks, and all our guests had fun at the carnival. For our family and business associates, we arranged for a formal sit-down lunch at Hotel Fort Canning. Since Roger is experienced in dealing with events, our wedding planning wasn\u2019t too difficult even though we had two different settings.<\/p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  alt=\"MyCarnivalWedding4\" src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/MyCarnivalWedding4-e1361516704885.jpg\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  alt=\"MyCarnivalWedding5\" src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/MyCarnivalWedding5-e1361516750321.jpg\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  alt=\"MyCarnivalWedding7\" src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/02\/MyCarnivalWedding7-e1361516733630.jpg\" \/><p><b><b>What did your family and friends have to say about your wedding?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Stephanie<\/i>: Everyone really enjoyed themselves and there was plenty of time to interact with one another during the day.<\/p><p><b><b>Were there any particular moments that were especially special to you?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Roger<\/i>: For me, it was definitely the snakes we had during the carnival. Ever since I was a little boy, I\u2019ve been fascinated by snakes.
