We were allocated to the same class for our marketing module during our university days. During the first lesson, we had to split into groups. As usual, Benedict didn\u2019t attend the first lesson. However, two of his friends were there. By pure chance, I was paired into the same group as them and they asked to reserve a space in the group for Benedict. Therefore, I only got to meet Benedict on the second lesson, and his friends planned for him to sit beside me as they thought that I was his type of girl. Benedict rented a yacht on the pretext that it was our mutual friend\u2019s birthday and that she rented the yacht to celebrate her birthday with us. I was absolutely clueless! We sailed to the middle of the sea and our friends suddenly played a video compilation of well wishes from our friends and family members. To cap it all off, the yacht was docked at Lazarus Island and my closest friends boarded the yacht secretly while I was watching the video. After the video ended, I was extremely surprised to see all of them there, and Benedict went down on his knees. Thankfully, we had plenty of time to plan our wedding as we did our solemnisation one year ahead of the actual wedding banquet. <\/p><p>But of course, there were hiccups along the way and we often had differences in opinions, especially when both our families were involved. Nevertheless, despite the quarrels and frustrations, we always tried to talk things out and put ourselves in each other\u2019s shoes. We will never ignore each other for more than a day, and try to mend things before going to bed. We feel that this is extremely important as we do not want to dwell on things for too long and lose focus on what really matters.<\/p><p><i>Amelia<\/i>: To decide on my wedding gown, I did some research to shortlist the types of gowns I would like to wear for my wedding. The one that captivated me the most was a simple yet elegant looking, mermaid sweetheart neckline gown. With that design in mind, we visited all the different bridal shops available.<\/p><p>When I tried on <a href=\"https:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/d\/bridal-veil-by-michelle-huimin\/\">Bridal Veil by MichelleHuiMin<\/a>&#8216;s gowns, Benedict and I knew for sure that this boutique was the one. Bridal Veil&#8217;s gowns are very clean-looking, simple yet elegant, and all beautifully designed &#8211; exactly how I wanted my gown to look like. Michelle Huimin is very professional and understands my needs very well, making the gown-making process much easier. How did you go about creating it?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Amelia<\/i>:I would say it was quite an easy feat for us to decide on the wedding theme of our actual wedding day. I already had in mind that I would like to have a floral\/garden theme for our solemnisation and a colonial-themed wedding for our dinner banquet. As we did our solemnisation a year ago, we sort of have the privilege of choosing two themes for the two separate occasions. <\/p><p>For our colonial-themed wedding, we chose Goodwood Park Hotel for our dinner banquet. We loved the interior of the Tudor Ballroom as it looked very elegant yet intimate at the same time. Colour wise, we decided on white, red, and navy. Not forgetting their well wishes for us as well! <\/p><p><b><b>What was the most memorable moment of your wedding?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Benedict<\/i>: During the speech when I thanked Amelia for marrying me. <\/p><p><i>Amelia<\/i>: The most memorable moment for me would be the morning session where my parents put on the wedding veil for me and Benedict entering my room to unveil me.
