It also helped that Eujin has such a broad range of interests, ranging from cycling, photography, collecting stamps and toys, painting, ceramics, to more obscure things like fossil hunting. Needless to say, I was won over by his sincerity, and the ring. Pop art seemed like a natural choice for our wedding theme as it integrated bright colours with interesting imagery. We really like Andy Warhol&#8217;s style and take on colour (see his print of Marilyn Monroe). <\/p><p><i>Yingying: <\/i>We decided to keep the colour palette mainly to cyan, yellow and fuchsia, and this was reflected strongly in my evening gown designed by Ted Wu. I wanted my wedding gown to contain a splash of colour too, so I asked Ted to include a patterned lining that is revealed only when the train is hooked up. I loved seeing the look of surprise on people&#8217;s faces when they catch a glimpse of the lining. <\/p><p>In the pop art theme, Eujin had on a yellow tie and socks with a matching corsage. Each of the corsages and my hand bouquet were made by myself, with the help of my dear sister. The morning was made all the more memorable for the bridesmaids when the groom whipped out a super large cheque to the bridesmaids. Needless to say, the groom was let in without further resistance. <\/p><p><i>Eujin: <\/i>We took advantage of our homes bring close to the Lower Pierce Reservoir and did an outdoor shoot with the bridesmaids and bestmen. The rest of the morning was followed with the tea ceremony at the groom\u2019s place and then the bride\u2019s place; giving us a chance to meet the extended relatives on both sides. <\/p><p><i>Yingying: <\/i>We had the solemnisation during the early evening at the garden terrace of <a href=\"https:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/hotels\/parkroyal-on-pickering\/\">PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering<\/a> which was beautifully decorated with Amperian\u2019s pop art theme, complete with a live <i>tutu kueh<\/i> cart and a dessert station serving local delights. This was a huge hit with our local and overseas guests who had flown in to be a part of our special day. <\/p><p>The wedding dinner was held at the William Pickering Ballroom. Eujin had also set up a photo gallery in the reception area, showcasing the photos he had taken on our travels, which provided a snippet of our lives overseas during the last 15 years! In keeping with the pop art theme, Amperian also created angbao boxes in bold cyan, fuchsia, yellow colours, and customised a sign with a pop art portrait of us! Our photo booth vendors also managed to source a pop art-themed fabric for the backdrop, so we were lucky there! To top it off, the hotel filled the ballroom with stalks of orchids in matching fuchsia and yellow.<\/p><p>It was amazing seeing the various elements come together especially since we had to plan our wedding from afar!
