We joined the same CCA group and got along as friends, and it all started from there.  <\/p><p><i>Andrew: <\/i>We are both responsible and dependable people who are passionate in everything that we do. We witnessed the efforts and dedication of each other over the course of several months and we got together naturally. We have been together for a long time. We supported each other through different phases of life and finally decided to get married on our 9th year together.<\/p><p><b><b>What was the proposal like?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Samantha: <\/i>We were on holidays after his business trip in the UK. The proposal took place in Paris under the Eiffel Tower. We were walking around in the park to take the night pictures of the Eiffel Tower when Andrew got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Nosh was love at first sight for us. We love that it is cozy and surrounded by greenery and the romantic fairy lights. We both knew from the start that we would like the wedding to be intimate, and have ample time to mingle with our guests. We were blessed that our parents have always been supportive of our decision for a solemnisation at Nosh, and subsequently host a traditional wedding banquet for relatives.<\/p><p>While it was pretty intense and exciting, I\u2019m glad that we\u2019re doing this together as a team. Thankfully Andrew is a good planner. It was managed professionally like a project; budgeting, sourcing, scope to selection of vendors, execution phases. While as an Art Director, I was naturally a DIY bride. I designed the wedding invitation together with a friend who helped with the illustrations, oversaw the printing, hot stamping, and customisation of the envelopes. How did you go about your DIY?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Samantha: <\/i>We drew inspiration from many online sources like Pinterest and wedding blogs and knew what we would like. As we wanted to have a few personal touches that reflected both of us, we personalised most of the wedding items. Such as the wedding gifts, wedding vows card, groom and groomsmen\u2019s boutonnieres, and confetti. I also designed the menu cards, and had Nosh print them. We have collected many photos and beautiful memories during our nine years of courtship that we wanted to share with our guests, so we had our entourage help us hang the photos together with fairy lights along the stairways and at the deck. <\/p> <p>Andrew and I sourced mini jars from local suppliers and we filled them up with gem biscuits. Together with our friends, we decorated them with self-designed brown paper and complete the wedding favours with twine for extra personal touch. <\/p><p>Our very helpful wedding entourage also rendered great assistance in putting up the decorations just like how we envisioned at Nosh. They also set up the old school desserts table for our guests to enjoy while waiting for the dinner reception. The solemnisation in the garden was set up by the Nosh and our florist, who is also my maid of honour, who gave me the wedding arch of my dreams! Other details such as the ang pow box, cake topper, guest book, photo album and customised wedding gifts for entourage were customised by Nigel from Common Hands.<\/p> <p>In the same time period, we were also doing our home renovation and purchases for our nest. So essentially, we had the two most important events happening within a space of four months! Our awesome entourage were extremely helpful in making sure everything went accordingly to plan and if it didn&#8217;t, they found a way to solve it. They went above and beyond to help us and leave us free to enjoy our wedding. The entourage even surprised us with a song on stage during the dinner.<\/p><p>Overall, the day was so full of love, friendship, gratitude, and tears, and we can\u2019t be more thankful for our wonderful family, friends, awesome entourage, and wedding vendors!<\/p><p><b><b> What\u2019s your favourite moment of the wedding?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Samantha: <\/i>There were plenty beautiful memories but the most special moment to me was when I walked down the bridge with my dad by my side and saw Andrew at the end of the aisle.
