Despite being in the same class during their first year in school and commuting to and from school together, they only realised how they felt about each other after they were assigned to different classes in their second year. We were in the same Year 1 class but it definitely wasn\u2019t love at first sight. He was too tall and seemed unapproachable. Although we also lived near each other, it took us half a year before we finally started commuting to and from school together. Having selected different majors to pursue, we were assigned to different classes in our second year. Juggling between numerous projects and various school activities, we soon drifted apart and lost contact. Hence, I booked a two-night stay at Swiss\u00f4tel The Stamford and proposed on New Year\u2019s Eve in a room on Level 54. Did you meet with any challenges along the way?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Kenneth:<\/i> Tiffany is a very outdoor person and loves the beach as well as sun-tanning. Hence, we decided on a nautical theme for the wedding. Our wedding cards and monogram were all designed with a nautical flair, and our venue was decorated with nautical themed props. To keep in line with our theme, we chose anchor-shaped bottle openers and plant succulents as our wedding favours. <\/p><p>One of the challenges we faced was finding a venue that suited our theme and requirements. We did not want a sit-down banquet or a normal catered buffet as we want our guests to experience a totally fresh and new concept. Hence, we decided on Pan Pacific Singapore&#8217;s restaurant, Edge, for our wedding venue. The buffet restaurant is able to host up to 350 guests at its maximum capacity and offers good food and atmosphere, which was what we wanted. But we faced several obstacles, such as the lack of screens and fixed layouts. WhiteLink was no doubt our first choice! She wanted a gown that\u2019s simple yet elegant, white yet coloured and most importantly, easy to walk around in. Sounds tough? But the designers at WhiteLink knew exactly what she needed and even tweaked the designs to suit our nautical theme. The white wedding gown was designed with a Tiffany blue tone at back. The evening gown was designed in her favourite colour navy blue with glittery tulle. We heard you chose not to have a gatecrash in the morning. Share with us why you decided to forgo that iconic activity.<\/b><\/b><\/p> <p><i>Tiffany:<\/i>The actual day was definitely hectic but we were glad that our bridesmaids and groomsmen took charge on most of the things as planned. It was smooth going until we received news from our external Audio-Visual vendor that the HDMI VGA cables they brought were too short. When we thought that all hope was lost, the staff at Edge managed to source for another vendor and the dinner proceeded smoothly thereafter. It was a moment of panic but we were glad that there were no major screw ups.<\/p><p>Both Kenneth and I found gatecrashing to be too mainstream and we didn&#8217;t want to follow the norm. Hence, we decided to do away with the gatecrashing (of course, the guys were super agreeable for once) but nonetheless we still want our bridesmaids and groomsmen to feel special for our big day. After all, they are our best buddies. So, we planned for a photoshoot instead! <\/p><p>The wedding is indeed, once in a lifetime event. We want our wedding to be a memorable and experiential journey, not only for ourselves but also for those around us. We believe in creating our own precious moments, through photography. With the photoshoot done, we can do away with the morning activities and focus our entire energy on the banquet in the evening. Our photobooth backdrop was made up of 288 photos taken from our pre-wedding photography session in Korea with WhiteLink. So naturally, we were in every photo they brought home! <\/p><p>The banquet is new experience for the majority of our guests. We did not know what to expect but in the end, they loved it! The mood was relaxed and casual, different from other banquets they had attended previously.
