On a particular Sunday afternoon, on 19 February, couples were wooed by the romantic decorations at the reception, lavish brunch spread by the master chefs behind Li Bai Cantonese Restaurant and most importantly, Divine Couture\u2019s bridal showcase of their stunning new collection of gowns.<\/i><\/p><p><b class=\"special\">H<\/b>eld at <a title=\"Sheraton Towers Singapore\" href=\"https:\/\/www.singaporebrides.com\/hotels\/sheraton\/index.php\">Sheraton Towers Singapore<\/a>, couples were kept entertained with complimentary champagne and chocolate-coated cold strawberries while they surveyed the dessert table and wedding cake displays done in the sweetest shade of pastel pink that you just can\u2019t say \u201cno\u201d to. Guest and main table set-ups of Sheraton Tower\u2019s five wedding themes \u2013 Vintage Romance, Scarlet Passion, Timeless Renaissance, Midsummer\u2019s Night Dream and Tiffany Amour \u2013 were also available for the couples\u2019 viewing in a separate portion of the Grand Ballroom.<\/p><div class=\"banner\"><script type=\"text\/javascript\">OA_show(5);<\/script><\/div><p>Couples wasted no time as they streamed in through the doors of another section of the Grand Ballroom to secure seats with an unobstructed view of the runway. Popular radio personality, Daniel Ong, opened the show by sharing some facts of Sheraton Towers\u2019 Grand Ballroom and prepared the audience by sharing some insights he learnt from his own wedding.<\/p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Divine-Couture-1-e1331299238784.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><p>Well-known for their signature style of using Swarovski crystals, Divine Couture kickstarted the show with a classic, heart-shaped bustier gown lined with crystals at the bust. A layered bodice gives this classic piece some texture to complement the layers of ruffled frills down the skirt that makes this A-line gown closer to a ball-gown silhouette.<\/p><p>Brides-to-be had their eyes glued to the model as she sashayed elegantly down a runway created by two adjacent rows of potted baby\u2019s breath and colonial-style street lamps in snow-white. With white picket fences and a dome-shaped gazebo waiting on stage for the model\u2019s return, it is as if you\u2019re witnessing <i>her <\/i>wedding on her lawn. And to open the show with a bang (a ladylike one), the model whips out a lace parasol at the end of her walk.<\/p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Divine-Couture-2-e1331299285285.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Divine-Couture-3-e1331299317109.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><p>Next up, Divine Couture demonstrates their versatility by offering gowns in a variety of necklines and silhouettes. Keeping in trend with Spring, French lace and frills were employed generously to give off that carefree femininity in springtime.<\/p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Divine-Couture-4-e1331299608589.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/05\/Divine-Couture-5-e1331299473289.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><p>Divine Couture goes sexy feminine with the backless and dipping-low back design in their new collection of gowns. Whoever said showing too much skin is a crass idea has obviously never seen how Divine Couture does it. Brides-to-be, it\u2019s time to step up those workouts to tone up your shoulders and back muscles. Oh, and, you don\u2019t have to be royalty to pull off a trailing long train. For the more conventional grooms, Divine Couture offers you a choice between a classic James Bond-esque black suit, complete with a complementary bowtie, or an English-styled tuxedo with a checkered vest inside and fancy brooch-tie at the collar.
