While wedding planning has tested and strained relationships throughout time, for our couple, it has only made them more certain about theirs. But enough with words; scroll downwards and let the photos speak for themselves.<\/p><div class=\"banner\"><script type=\"text\/javascript\">OA_show(5);<\/script><\/div><p><b><b>How did the two of you meet?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Desiree:<\/i> We met through a friend\u2019s introduction.<\/p><p><b><b>What was the proposal like?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Desiree:<\/i> It was a very pleasant surprise as the proposal came totally unexpected. After he picked me up from work, we went to Prive at Keppel Bay. During dinner, I noticed he was fiddling around for a good five minutes, so I tried to get a look at what he was doing.<\/p><p><i>Desmond:<\/i> At that precise moment, I whipped the ring out, got on my knees and proposed.<\/p><p><i>Desiree:<\/i> I was in too much of a shock but I still managed to get \u2018Yes, I do!\u2019 out.<\/p><p><b><b>Walk us through the planning for your wedding.<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Desiree:<\/i> Although we knew that wedding planning is a very stressful and long process, we still decided to plan it ourselves because we felt that engaging a wedding planner lacked the personal touch we both wanted for our big day.<\/p><p>The planning was very much like going back to school \u2013 plenty of research, taking notes, and excel sheets for our budgeting and the guest lists. We worked our way down by deciding on our location first. Since my father-in-law loves the food from Li Bai Cantonese Restaurant, we decided to have our wedding at Sheraton Towers Singapore.<\/p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/FromNowTilForever2-e1329406493865.jpg\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/FromNowTilForever3-e1329406535301.jpg\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/FromNowTilForever4-e1329406557349.jpg\" \/><p>I\u2019d have to say searching for the perfect gown took the longest. Like every other girl, I want to be the most beautiful woman on earth on my special day. So I turned to Dang Bridal for her excellent selection of gowns and commendable service.<\/p><p><i>Desmond:<\/i> Since we couldn\u2019t decide on a theme, we decided to do away with it. The planning really got us exhausted right down to the last minute of our wedding day.<\/p><p><b><b>What was it like on the actual day of the wedding?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Desmond:<\/i> Truthfully, everything happened so fast, it was a blur. I even forgot the bouquet of flowers the next morning because I was so nervous! Thankfully, my father phoned me and I had to turn back for it.<\/p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/FromNowTilForever5-e1329406625336.jpg\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/FromNowTilForever6-e1329406648185.jpg\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/FromNowTilForever7-e1329406671909.jpg\" \/><p><i>Desiree:<\/i> Before we realised it, we were already at the hotel preparing for the solemnisation ceremony. I\u2019d have to say we were grateful for the good weather and our beloved families and friends who had to wake up early to ensure the day went smoothly.<\/p><p>Although the actual day was tiring for both of us, since we were both too excited to sleep the night before, we enjoyed every minute of it.<\/p><p><b><b>What did your family and friends have to say about your wedding?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Desiree:<\/i> Nothing but compliments! My friends loved that my evening gown was a short dress with a long train, unlike the usual long ones. Of course, that made me a very happy bride!<\/p><p><i>Desmond:<\/i> As the hosts, we felt we did a great job. The food was good, we had free flow of champagne going round and everyone was making merry and having a blast.<\/p><p><b><b>Were there any particular moments that were especially special to you?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Desiree:<\/i> The tea ceremony was exceptionally memorable and touching. My mother, parents-in-law and aunts teared as they gave us their blessings, and I can still feel them now.<\/p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/FromNowTilForever8-e1329406708850.jpg\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/FromNowTilForever9-e1329406735918.jpg\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"  alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/singaporebrides.com\/articles\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/FromNowTilForever10-e1329406756828.jpg\" \/><p><i>Desmond:<\/i> We had our ups-and-downs throughout the wedding planning process, but it brought us closer.
