We spent a good many months \u201changing out\u201d but did not quite manage to get together because we were both too shy, or reticent! Fast-forward five to six years: I had returned to Singapore after living in Hong Kong for several years, and I had a beautiful Alaskan Malamute in tow. We were both running our pop-up store at Orchard Central then. But he was dragging his feet about sending me home, and even the second-most reliable man in my life, my dad, was being very noncommittal about picking me up. Then my friends started calling me and telling me that they were in the area and asked to meet up (of course I said \u201cPlease, no!\u201d). When we finally got into the car, me in cold sweat and all ready to go home, he kneeled beside the car and proposed. Apparently my stomach cramp had foiled his best-laid proposal plans (which my friends and even my dad were all in on) so he ended up proposing in the most unromantic place ever \u2013 the car park of a shopping mall. Miraculously, that diamond ring cured my stomach cramp. Did you have a theme? <\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Amanda: <\/i>Deciding on a theme was pretty hard because we didn\u2019t have a specific one in mind, like superheroes or The Great Gatsby. All we wanted was a simple, elegant, and romantic wedding which celebrated love in all forms \u2013 our love and that for our family and friends. We crafted our wedding in a simple, personal, meaningful, and elegant way, and it was our desire that our guests would go home from our wedding feeling all warm and romantic, rather than complaining about the food (like most people tend to do at weddings!) We were also fortunate to have found vendors that we really enjoyed working with and were really aligned with what we wanted.<\/p><p>We DIY-ed some aspects of our wedding, like the signboards as well as stringing the fairy lights and paper lanterns in the garden of the White Rabbit. We had an awesome bridal party who took care of everything, and neither Dennis nor I felt tired or stressed throughout the day. Contrary to what people were warning us about wedding days being so tiring that most people cannot remember much about the day, we remember every single moment of our special day and we\u2019ll cherish these memories for a long time! <\/p><p><i>Amanda: <\/i>For our dinner, we went without the usual video montage and video highlights and opted instead for a line-up of speeches from the people we cherish the most. My sister created our entire wedding cake from scratch, and the emcees and wedding singer were also close friends of ours so it made the evening more intimate. <\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Amanda: <\/i>For Dennis, it was saying his vows. <\/p><p>For me, it was during our dinner speech when both Dennis and I choked up (we\u2019re very sentimental people), and I realised how truly lucky we both are to have found each other, and to have the love and support of every single special guest we had that day!<\/p><p><b><b>Can you tell us the cost of your wedding, and your number of guests?
