My first impressions were: \u201ccool, cute,\u201d and then it became \u201cI hate this Jonning Chng!\u201d But eventually hate became love.<\/p><p><i>Jonning:<\/i> Yeah, we always described our relationship as \u201clove-hate.\u201d My first impressions of her were that she is fun and outgoing but can be temperamental at times. As I got to know her better through the years, I see a very kind soul in her as well.<\/p><p><b><b>So how did you decide to take this \u201clove-hate relationship\u201d to the next level?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Alice:<\/i> We were actually celebrating our 11th anniversary during the month that we got married, so I guess, after being together for so long, the thought of spending the rest of our life together just came naturally without any struggle. As corny as it may sound, I\u2019ve always told him he is what I\u2019m not.<\/p><p><i>Jonning:<\/i> Yup, after being together for almost a decade, it just seemed right to take this relationship to the next level. Hence, the first step was to apply for BTO &#8211; and we managed to get it on the first attempt!<\/p><p><b><b>Wasn\u2019t the proposal the first step?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Alice:<\/i> He proposed on our 10th anniversary and it was at our new house when we did the \u201copening ceremony.\u201d<\/p><p>He was not the typical romantic kind so I didn\u2019t expect him to do those little things that he prepared for the proposal. It was short, sweet, unexpected, and definitely not his style too. Tell us what it was like.<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Alice:<\/i>We had our church wedding at St. Mary of the Angels with a lilac theme. There\u2019s no reason as to why lilac, but we just decided to go with it. My hair was coloured purple, and everyone else has a tinge of lilac on them during the day church ceremony.<\/p><p>As for the wedding dinner, it is just that our favourite colour is black, so our attire was all black. And we decided to make everyone else wear white because I thought it would be a beautiful sight to see, with everyone dressed in white. All we did was to request every guest to wear white in the dinner invitation card, and our parents were sporting enough to go with the idea.<\/p><p><i>Jonning:<\/i> Our wedding was simple, relaxed, fuss free, and casual. We wanted the guests to mingle around instead of just sitting with people that they are familiar with. It\u2019s a gathering of friends and family members&#8211;people whom we genuinely want to share this special day with.<\/p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" Wedding at HOUSE at Dempsey 2\"><p><b><b>What was the most memorable moment of your wedding?<\/b><\/b><\/p><p><i>Alice:<\/i> It was quite an eventful morning.Firstly, the driver was an hour late to Jonning\u2019s place.
