Melvin met Joanne while working in the same company and being the quiet and shy guy he is, it took him quite a while to ask her out. He planned an intimate and low-key yet utterly romantic proposal, with a video montage of them and Train&#8217;s <i>Marry Me<\/i> in the background. Walk us through your wedding planning and share with us how it felt to have full rein over the planning process.<\/b><\/b><\/p><p>Melvin pretty much left the planning to me, as he wanted me to have the kind of wedding I wanted. But it was <i>his <\/i>wedding as much as it was mine, so it was important to get his input too! We decided on a small and intimate wedding with just our family and close friends witnessing our union, and Marmalade Pantry at The Stables was a perfect choice with its intimate set-up and proximity to Mother Nature and animals, two elements I\u2019ve always loved! To complement our warm and intimate reception, we decided on a garden theme with summer flowers for our wedding theme, and Floral Magic did a great job in creating flower arrangements that were a perfect match for our theme.<\/p><p>Having a small and intimate wedding meant that I was able to take time to catch up with my family and friends leisurely throughout dinner, which would have been impossible at a larger scaled wedding dinner. The whole day felt more like a family and friends get-together rather than a formal wedding celebration. Everyone loved that it was different from the usual hotel wedding dinner, and enjoyed the food, drinks and ambience &#8211; the most important thing in my opinion!<\/p><img decoding=\"async\"
