The spectacular Balinese mountain scenery, beautiful beaches and warm hospitality set the scene for our couple&#8217;s big day. Marie and Makoto met at a bar 6 years ago and bonded over their common interest in drinking. A no-frills sort of couple, Makoto popped the question with a simple and heartfelt &#8220;Please marry me&#8221; where he first met Marie. Tell us more about your wedding day!<\/b><\/b><\/p><p>We wanted a simple and cozy wedding ceremony where we could be ourselves instead of a starchy and formal one. So, rather than a formal greeting for our parents, we held a Flahoolay ceremony to convey our appreciation. We also wanted our guests to enjoy their time at our wedding, so we arranged for a Balinese gamelan dance since it was some of our guests\u2019 first time in Bali and fireworks performance as a surprise for our guests. The fireworks were a last minute addition but we were really glad we decided to include it! It was only until 2 months before our wedding that we could meet our wedding planner face-to-face when Tirtha Weddings opened their first branch in Singapore. But even though we were not able to meet up in the beginning, their professionalism and reliability never left us worried over a single detail. With the opening of their Singapore branch, we were also able to find our perfect wedding outfit for our big day.
