Amanda and Keegan celebrated their nuptials in an intimate celebration at Candlenut.<\/i><\/p>

A<\/b>manda, 30, Centre Manager and Keegan, 31, Program Manager, met on a dating app. They bonded over their interest in Stranger Things<\/i>, the Netflix drama, and soon, love blossomed. Since Keegan was part Peranakan and they wanted an Oriental theme for their wedding, they chose Candlenut as the location for their intimate wedding celebration with their family and friends. Tell us about how you met and fell in love with each other.<\/b><\/b><\/p>

Keegan<\/i>: We kicked it off talking about Stranger Things<\/i>, the Netflix drama. It was love at first sight and we also had the same sense of humor. <\/p>

Amanda<\/i>: He was definitely charming in the photos on his profile page and bonus points to him for being humorous. <\/p>\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"

What is it about your partner that you love the most?<\/b><\/b><\/p>

Amanda<\/i>: He\u2019s really thoughtful and has a big heart, especially when he sees elderly people needing help. He gives awesome massages too.<\/p>

Keegan<\/i>: I would say that she gives me a sense of purpose to continuously improve myself daily. <\/p>\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"

How did Keegan propose to you, Amanda?<\/b><\/b><\/p>

Keegan had plans to have the proposal done in Taiwan. However, I had exams on that specific day (the date we got together). Eventually, Keegan brought me to my favourite hotpot restaurant and then to the place where we first met. There, he gave a heartfelt speech, knelt down on one knee and asked the most important question in his life.<\/p>\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"

Tell us about your wedding. Where was your wedding venue and what was your wedding theme?<\/b><\/b><\/p>

We decided on Candlenut as Keegan is part Peranakan. We loved the restaurant\u2019s interior as it complimented the wedding theme that we were going for. On top of that, Candlenut serves amazing dishes and provides one of the best customer services we have ever experienced. <\/p>

We decided on an Oriental wedding theme. The interior of Candlenut played a great part in matching the theme. We also had shouvines.co to create a backdrop that aligned with our theme too. We also wore kuas on the wedding day. <\/p>\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"

Bring us back to your wedding day. What was the day like?<\/b><\/b><\/p>

Keegan<\/i>: I was excited and nervous at the same time, but I know we were in good hands as our groomsmen, bridesmaids as well as our vendors have played a huge part in making sure that our plan will be successful and smooth. <\/p>

Amanda<\/i>: Definitely nervous as I was not able to sleep the night before. As we planned for this special day way in advance, the wedding was successful! It was really fun and I remember having tears of joy throughout the day. <\/p>\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"

What did your family\/friends have to say about your wedding day?<\/b><\/b><\/p>

Both<\/i>: As it was an intimate wedding, both family and friends enjoyed themselves, especially the food! Everyone was very involved in the activities and enjoyed the impromptu acting scenes that our Emcee Jia Yang got us to do.<\/p>

Share with us the most memorable moment of your wedding?<\/b><\/b><\/p>

Both<\/i>: Exchanging of vows and rings was the most memorable moment of our wedding day.<\/p>\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"

What is one lesson you\u2019ve learned from your wedding planning that you\u2019d like to share with other couples?<\/b><\/b><\/p>

Both<\/i>: Keegan managed the schedule, budget, risk, stakeholders, vendors etc. while I (Amanda) took care of the more exciting parts – shopping for wedding decor, picking the theme and colours and places for photoshoot. Long story short: it is important to find a project manager husband and always practice effective communication between yourselves.<\/p>
