Crystal and Rey’s Semi-Casual and Intimate Wedding at Wheeler’s Estate

Crystal and Rey celebrated their happily-ever-after in an intimate celebration at Wheeler’s Estate.

Crystal Ong, 29, POP Artist Manager, and Rey Chew, 31, Retail Store Manager, met through work and found a soulmate in one another. Her kind soul captivated him while his patience won her over, but it was ultimately their mutual love for dogs that sealed their connection. After a private proposal in Jeju, the lovebirds decided to tie the knot in a semi-casual affair at Wheeler’s Estate, where their family and friends can share their joy and celebrate this momentous milestone together.

Share with us what attracted you to your other half.

Rey: She is very quiet and beautiful, and she treats everyone very fairly. Oh, and I love that she loves small animals, because people who like small animals tend to be kind-hearted.

Crystal: He has always been very patient with me, waiting for me to end work almost every day – that’s like one to two hours a day. He also takes very good care of his love ones, and he loves dogs as much as I do!

What was the proposal like?

Rey: I proposed at a farm while we were on holiday in Jeju Island, South Korea. I brought the ring out with me everywhere we went because I was searching for the most beautiful and private place to propose to her.

Tell us about your wedding. What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day for both of you?

Rey: Crystal prefers a more casual, Western style wedding, so we decided to have a long-table arrangement instead of the traditional round tables to keep it semi-casual.

Both: We were quite worried that the day would not go smoothly in the days leading up to our big day. However, everything went smoothly and we couldn’t be happier.

Rey: Crystal’s most vivid impression of the day would likely be that her groom, me, couldn’t stop crying! I was genuinely happy to be able to marry her, and I was so happy to share this joy with our family and friends.
