Hotel Fort Canning 2019 Wedding Packages and Themes Unveiled

Hotel Fort Canning unveiled its 2019 wedding packages and new wedding themes at the beautiful Journey of Love Weddings in the Park showcase.

On Sunday, 4 November 2018, over 70 couples enjoyed an afternoon of romance at the Journey of Love Weddings in the Park Showcase by Hotel Fort Canning. Specialising in tailor-made experiences, the award-winning hotel offers a stunning selection of wedding and solemnisation venues for couples to turn their celebration into a fairy tale.

The afternoon began with a welcome into the foyer, where couples could select a mocktail from the bar and meet curated wedding vendors such as bridal boutique La Belle Couture, who presented their beautiful wedding gowns and photography. Guests could commemorate their planning journey with a photo at the photo booth, and all the brides-to-be were also gifted a bouquet from the interactive flower bar.

Exquisite Wedding Venues

Set in the idyll of Fort Canning Park, the hotel is surrounded by views of verdant greenery. As couples experienced on their tour of the estate, the exquisite gardens and colonial architecture create a charming garden setting perfect for outdoor solemnisations, especially when accented with romantic fairy lights and beautiful floral arrangements.

The Grand Marquee is the largest outdoor marquee venue in Singapore, where glass walls offer views of lush greenery to create a garden setting in air-conditioned comfort. Lit by elegant chandeliers, the Grand Marquee unveiled the 2019 Infinite Romance theme, with floral arbours lined with fairy lights making a truly memorable aisle. Able to host a grand celebration with up to 550 guests, the Grand Marquee also features a VIP table that seats 20. Couples with a smaller wedding party can use the space for a decadent dessert table with pastries, cupcakes, and dessert shots. Outside, an optional Love Swing bedecked in flowers created a charming photo backdrop for guests.

With a magical canopy of fairy lights under an open sky, and an intimate garden setting, it’s easy to see why the Garden Terrace is such a popular wedding venue. Bedecked in the new Bliss in Bloom wedding theme with cheerful sunflowers and a petal-strewn aisle, the venue makes a beautiful solemnisation setting for 50 guests.

For more intimate garden solemnisations, couples can choose from poolside venues like the Sun Deck, dressed in the new Vintage Romance theme that day, or the Tisettanta Terrace with its garden views. Couples who love fairy lights will be charmed by the Salon Alfresco with its long, romantic aisle under the glittering lights. For a cosy solemnisation with a pool view, there is the Upper Deck Poolside, which was prettily dressed in the Timeless Rhapsody theme for the showcase.

Highlighting the hotel’s unique setting in Fort Canning Park’s lush greenery, all of the indoor venues boast full-length glass windows to make breathtaking garden and sunset weddings your dream come true. Jasmine Room, which seats 80 guests, was adorned with the Enchanted Garden theme with tall floral arrangements paired with sweet pink blooms, while the Glass House, which seats 80 guests, was dressed in the deep purple Eternal Eden theme.

The Living Room, which seats 40 guests for a private solemnisation, featured a modern, geometric LED wedding arch accented with florals in the new Frames of Forever wedding theme. Couples can also choose to hold their tea ceremony in style, with an exquisite traditional set up.

For celebratory banquets, Legends Ballroom is a magnificent 460-seater ballroom with a long wedding aisle, while the 230-seater Lavender Ballroom is lovely for smaller weddings. Both feature state-of-the-art lighting and audio equipment, and can be configured into smaller spaces to suit your needs.

Luxurious Suites

Couples were also treated to a tour of the luxurious bridal suites that would pamper them on their wedding nights. Each beautifully appointed and featuring unique colonial architectural details such as the picture window, the suites are an oasis of indulgence where couples can luxuriate in the freestanding deep bathtub before sinking onto the plush bed. For a top up, couples can opt for the spacious Governor’s Suite, which boasts a separate dining and living area, a whirlpool bath, and stunning glass windows.

Exclusive Wedding Perks

Couples who booked during the showcase enjoyed exclusive wedding packages and perks, such as 2019 wedding weekday dinner packages from $1,008++ per table of 10 for Chinese and International cuisine, 2019 Western wedding dinner packages from $128++ per person, and a complimentary flower bar worth up to $1,000. They also received their choice of up to 4 additional perks, such as 4 hours of free-flow draught beer, 3 hours of free-flow wine, an additional 1-night stay in a Premium King Room with breakfast, deluxe canapés for cocktail reception, and more.

A Breathtaking Wedding Experience

After personal consultations with the hotel’s wedding specialists, couples had a taste of Hotel Fort Canning’s delectable cuisines. A Lamb Wellington station and a Peking Duck station offered piping hot delicacies, while a savoury buffet tempted with oat-crusted prawns and smoked salmon. Ending the day on a sweet note, a beautiful dessert table offered luscious treats such as mousse cups, mango sago, and dainty pastries.
