Fetching bride must be in gown with veil. That is the only time that you can put one the veil and enter the groom house. After that, no more veil already as veil can only be use once. :)

It really depends on individual.. for me i did not (just had my wedding on 31/01/2015). I change into a simple gown before going back to my mum's place

In today's weddings, we have filmed brides who wore kua in the morning with or without the red veil and only changed into her white gown for the banquet. There are also brides who doesn't have any veil for the white gown in the morning too.

A collection of photos of the bride with an interesting veil that she had on for the solemnisation: http://www.alvinadeline.com/portfolio/anthony-sarah/

A collection of photos of the bride without any veil for the morning and solemnisation: http://www.alvinadeline.com/portfolio/mark-lahlitha/

Do check out the last photo in this other set: http://www.alvinadeline.com/portfolio/wedding-moments/ where the couple wore their traditional clothes.

Most importantly, we may wish to seek our elders opinion in having the kua / gown for the morning session. During solemnisation, the bride typically wears her white gown (in a church setting) or white dress (without the long train) at a smaller venue (eg. ROM at fort canning). Most church weddings, the bride will have a veil on. In smaller venues, there may or may not be a veil. It all depends on the look that you would have for the wedding too.

Hope this information helps.

Cheers,
Benny Loy

Depends on your old folks. Nowadays ppl wear wedding gown go fetch bride and change to tea dress to return to mum plc. But I wore Kua coz I love the embrodiery on the Kua I wore ^^ n I looked good in red hahaha.. And my mum loved the idea :)

So if your old folks are particular best to seek their inputs. Don't let the wedding be a catalyst of potential future quarrels.

Oh no red veil. I wore wedding gown when my hubby came over for gate crash then when I went over to my mil place, I changed to Kua to return to my mum house with the Kua and wear the 4 gold ( 4 Dian Jin for teochew brides ).
