hello all! any good wedding coordinators to recommend for GWP? Met up with Chris Tan at the wedding workshop. But not very comfortable with him as his response is quite slow and always take a long time to get back to us.

Hi pinkie, my wedding was in march. Service and food had good reviews from our guests.

Hi Aveline, thanks for your reply! That's a huge relief coz I read a bad review in the weddingforum.sg. May I know if yours was dinner or lunch n who was your coordinator ? N also does GWP have any charges for the use of their projectors? Sorry for asking so many qns n thanks in advance! :)

Hello. Anyone held their banquet at goodwood park this year? Do you have any comments on the food and service quality? Anyone knows when is their wedding show and what types of additional perks they usually offer during the show? Thanks in advance.

Hey so sorry I missed out on your msg! Did u go with goodwood in the end? No charge for projector. Mine was a dinner and my coordinator left just before my wedding but it was taken over by ivy (I think).

Hi berries I held my wedding in mar. Great reviews for the food from all around (many said they were too full before dessert even came). No complaints abt service either. We signed up during the wedding show and had free flow beer, extra bottle of wine per table and puking duck for appetisers I think.

Hi Aveline86

Thanks for your reply. Do you know which month the wedding show is usually held? Do you think the additional perks given during the show are worth waiting? Have anyone tried negotiating additional perks after signing a contract? Is it allowed? Im deciding whether to wait for the show before committing. :))

Hi berriesdot, when are you planning for your wedding may I ask? E wedding show was in June.. Not very sure when will the next one be held.. Have u checked out other hotels? GWP is pretty strict w their perks though, so does other 5star hotels.. But perhaps u can try..:)

Hi Pinkieeshortcake

Thanks for your reply. My wedding will be in the last quarter of next year. I have checked few other 5 stars hotels. Gwp seems to be one of few hotels that still serve shark fin. Food is in one of my top priority and i thought will be nice to have shark fin as part of dinner course. I have checked Mandarin Orchard, Panpac marina, Marriott, Mandarin Orchard. Do you have other recommendations in terms of good quality of food and service (at reasonable price)? Thanks in advance. :)

I didn't know GoodWood has wedding show. My friend said there's no wedding show...hmm. Anyway, I attended a wedding dinner this year, the dessert which was ice cream was great! So was the mee sua instead of rice or ee mian. Only thing was I felt the reception area was a bit too cramp.

Hello...

Im thinking of signing up with gwp sometime soon for 2015 dinner. Did anyone of you have signed up recently? Is there any thing to take note when signing the contract? E.g. Are there additional perks to ask for ? Thanks in advance!

We signed up with GWP for lunch in June 2015. So far, we have had a good experience with the coordinator who is very prompt with our queries. They are very strict with perks though. We signed up during the show which got us the wedding show extras but other than that, we did not get additional perks.

Can I check what are the wedding show extras that were offered?

They are giving us a dessert bar during cocktail and a authentic two-tiered cake. Can also choose one of 2 option of extra carpark coupons, barrel of beer or room stay for helpers. These are only for wedding show sign-ups

Has anyone held their dinner banquet at GWP? What's the experience like for Tudor & Windsor ballroom? I will be having about 18 tables so have to choose Tudor ballroom but I'm afraid it will be cramped :/

My parents just attended a wedding lunch at goodwood park. they mentioned that the food was okay.

GWP was my first choice but in the end i gave up on that idea because I realised they charge for almost every little thing.

Ohhh!! Food was okay only? I expect their food to be above average :/

yea. Was quite shocked too. My dad commented that it's nothing special, probably something you can eat at any place.

I eventually confirmed on intercontinental hotel

Attended a wedding dinner last sat! the food was above average as compare to other hotels wedding that I have been too. The ballroom is really very pretty especially after the decorations. maybe the down side is that the reception area was too crowed after all the props came in :)

Hope its help!

Hi, anyone has done luncheon in GWP and if so, did you book a helper room that can be checked in at the same time as the bridal room?
I am trying to book a room for my helper but i was told they do not have early check in for the helper room.

Hi, anyone has any issues with Goodwood park coordinator after you signed your package? I signed mine with GWP but after signing the coordinator becomes very unfriendly and any other questions that we had she will reply us in a very unfriendly and impatient way.

I was considering to sign up with gwp for my wedding, but the tone of the co ordinator was very impatient and when we spoke over the phone, before I could finish my sentence, she already put her phone down. It really put me off.

I had the same feeling when I went for their wedding show. Most hotels I went were fine with providing a function room for solemnization but GWP isn't. In fact, I was told that they will find me "a small corner somewhere" if I would like to avoid the cost. Was super turned off and left

I went there for some discussion but abit turn off with their payment.. Unless you are super cash rich if not don't have to think of it... I rather use my cash for some others stuff...

Haha yea I rmb my ex-colleague held her wedd there windsor ballroom :/ the ballroom still ok but recept area is really ==" dark and long, old as well :/ her Solemnization at the near a pool side add one or two thousand =="

I booked my lunch reception at gwp during their wedding show early this year, so the person who showed us arnd was not from banquet sales but frm another dept (which is usual during wedding shows due to the large number of guests) the coordinator who got in touch with us for their contract afterwhich was Chris. He was friendly and prompt in replying all our questions.

The only hiccup was tht when we tried to book the outdoor pool area for solemnization, it was already booked. But I guess tht was entirely our fault for overlooking that and not reserving tht in the first place. Well, I guess we saved $1000ish in that way too haha..
