I know this might seem like an odd question but I have been travelling around Europe with my partner for the last month, we are currently in Rome and I am looking for a beauty therapist who does brazilian waxing. I have been unable to find anywhere in Rome that does waxing through an internet search. I'm aware that this is not a standard travel question but maybe there is a local female in Rome who is able to help me? We will be in Florence next week so if there is no such service in Rome, perhaps someone knows of a waxing therapist in Florence?

Cheers

Albertri: so did u go for the brazilian waxing? i tried ipl and it doesn't hurt so much.feels like being bitten by ants.and the results not bad ah

i did brazillian wax, though I dun like the pain I have to go thru

I am seriously considering buying a home base IPL machine, DIY IPL.. results are slow but its not as painfull.
And it gradually turns perm.. growout is not so irritating too

Basically, it works like a salon based IPL, just not as powerful since you will use it at home.

There are a few brands in the market, mainly in UK and US as its not cheap.

Anyone keen to share on ship cost..

BTW, u can do some research.. Philips has one which is cordless.
Philips Lumea..

Search other alternatives, like RIO or Boots

MSG me if keen, I am loking to buy 1 next mth. Its approx $500 to $600 after shipping

My wife (Stella) is operating HOME SALON @ CCK. If you are interested, can call her @ 9745 8052 for details. Good compliment from her existing client.

haha, i like your line " one word = freedom!" Sure is worth the pain when you see the nicely pruned bush huh? My man loves the look and i feel extra sexy when i'm totally 'clean'!

I have been going to Bella Skin Care. Before my first visit, wasn't aware that they have IPL service for 'down there'. Thought theirs was only for underarms. Maybe Miss Fann Wong was too shy to do the advert for that, lol.

IPL is an option but there is a better technology call LHE (light heat energy). It's hard to find the use of this technology in Singapore or Malaysia. It's widely use in Europe and USA. I googled Singapore, LHE, light heat energy but found little materials on it.

I use boots ipulse....I got a friend to buy for me from UK, pity they don't ship here. After the 10000 hits is used up, u can exchange the handset for a new one but u need to do it in UK. But for the sensitive regions, its not recommended...better to go salon for that.

I remember seeing a shop here that sells all this home based IPL...I'm struggling to remember... maybe AMK hub?

I have done brazilian wax for men and have move on to Alpha IPL with Pink Parlour. I have seen tremendous improvements! For pain wise, I'd say their boyfriend's brazilian is about 8/10, a little discomfort and pain is really bearable. So for guys or ladies out there who wants to try, go to a proper organisation that knows what their doing, you will love it!

I used to go to strip but now go to Musee for my IPL. A lot more affordable and they are flexible with their packages. So unlike Strip where you have to buy packages for use on one body part only, Musee goes by small and large regions which you can use for any part of your body. So for example, upper lips and underarms considered small regions, legs and arms considered large regions. Each large region is 2 x a small region (so a package for 10 x small regions can be used for 5 x large regions, or any other combi). So you're free to use them in any configuration. And if you sign up for any package, you get free unlimited underarm IPL!
