Sorry for late reply.. Mine's 26 Oct..
Eh.. My contact person is Catheryn Tan.

Btw I feel Conrad is very upfront with what extra perks they can offer you e.g.: Package only gives you One nite hotel stay but they will automatically upgrade to 2 nites instead, etc.. Might be a sales technique but I feel good abt it..

Hi Ladies,

I'm a March 2014 BTB and is shortlisting Conrad as one of my choices coz I absolutely love the food and their signature bear!

I cant decide between weekend lunch or dinner! Weekend Lunch price very attractive! but I'm not sure about how the elders will feel about going to a wedding lunch instead of dinner!

Anyone able to share their packages and perks with me? My email add is [email protected]

Hi all,

I'm a March 2014 BTB and seriously considering Conrad as the banquet venue. Can anyone please share Eng Yan's contact and perks for weekend dinner with me?

Hi shanechua, Conrad's dinner banquet food from Golden Peony is fantastic and served in generous portions, really value-for-money. I held my wedding there in Feb this year and my guests had nothing but raving reviews about the food. I wrote about my experience with Conrad (and some of my wedding vendors) here. Hope it helps in your decision making!

Had booked my Sunday lunch banquet for feb 2015. Conrad is very strict to their perks. Only manage to get the following:
1. Extra 5% complimentary parking
2. Function room for soleminsation and tea ceremony
3. Increase from 6 to 8 person for food tasting

Hi Conrads BTB, can I check for the menu selections, if both the menus are priced the same, can the dishes be changed between packages?

Like, example, I select Menu A. But would like the fish/ soup dish of the other Menu B. Both Menus are the same price. Can I change the dishes?

Thanks! Can I also have Eng Yan's email contact?

Hi, does anyone know if conrad still charges for projectors? Possible to get those waived? Thanks!
Yes they are still charging it and from what I know, $500. Their stance is that the package price is already very competitive being that they're a 5 star luxury hotel. Not sure how you can ask for a waiver but worth a try.

Did you have to pay for the projectors too?

Yes, you can mix the two as you please

I don't think they allowed for the waiver of the projectors. Cos they engaged external vendors for the projectors as well, and not directly under Conrad's control. Thus, they can't do a waiver of the projectors charge.

Oh! This was not made known to me. Thanks much for the tip!

Yup, I think can request for reasonable changes to the dishes (but have to be of similar/ equivalent value to the dishes per standard menus). But have to request before the food tasting session so that the chef can prepare according to your requests for tasting.

Hi, is Eng Yan still with Conrad?

Azel-O, Monatomic, Cerealc, is Eng Yan your co-ordination? Or who did liaise with?
I don't think I've heard of that name at all. My sales banquet manager is Catheryn Tan. she's very professional and pleasant. She has a new executive reporting to her but I forgot her name. wasn't Eng Yan either. Catheryn has been there for quite a while. She also handled my colleague's wedding and they were happy with their services

Thanks Monatomic.
I emailed them and got Clarabelle. Maybe she is the new executive you mentioned.

Anyone here has Clarabelle as your co-ordinator?

I saw the virtual tour of the ballroom and I really liked it! Only problem is the projector charge, I thought if it's a biz hotel, and seminars are held there, the hotel should have projectors.:(

Hi all,

We had our wedding at Conrad in Mar 14 and my coordinator is Eng Yan. The banquet dinner to venue to atmosphere has been excellent at Conrad!

Unfortunately, both myself and my husband has found Eng Yan's service to be the worst of all. It was through this forum that we heard of her great service and decided to engage her to be part of one of happiest events in our marriage.

Personally, we found her lack of initiative will sometime reply us sarcastically when we asked her on details e.g when to print the invites, is there any new designs for the invites, etc, etc. I am sure most of us are new to all this details and will like someone to provide some answers rather than for us to find out ourselves. Most of the time, we had to email her to check on the next event coming up. There were some instances that she got our appointment or details wrongly, she will never acknowledge her mistake and just proceed to talk about other stuff. We find that very unprofessional. There were also many last minutes changes from her and she follows exactly to the advertised package with no nego for extra perks.

Perhaps she has been in Conrad for a while and also being popular, we found her complacent and also gives bad attitude I.e like you want it, you take it, if not forget it.. Preparing for wedding can be extremely fun although stressful provided the wedding coordinator is great. We found that Conrad hotel is a great venue with much to shout about but Eng Yan has indirectly spoilt the event for us...
